This was actually my first AEG almost 7 years ago. Gearbox still runs like a charm, though the body is completely trashed.

i just got this gun my brother has plenty 11.1 small tamiyas since he recently upgraded his krytac to deens have you ever used 11.1 in your gun is the double firing a bad thing?

@@NotAziel Mine didn't double fire, but you may need to do some minor changes in your gearbox before running an 11,1....you will also need a mosfet.

If you want something affordable and quality for a first time or long time aeg, I highly recommend this gun. Like it's real life counterpart, it's simple to learn, and easy to use. Being an airsoft gun, it's combination of metal and polymer gives it a lightweight feel for great on-the-move engagements during games. And since the battery compartment is located in the stock, you can pretty much throw in any size battery. One of my favorite features is the compatibility with different ak mags from different brands. My lct ak12 magazine clicks right in the mag well and feeds perfectly. My buddy has an ak74 from kwa, and that mags fits perfectly as well. And unlike some aeg aks, this one comes with a 600-round high cap magazine meaning ammo won't be an issue on the field. Had mine for a solid 6 months now, and had ZERO issues with it. One last thing, my brother and a few buddies do small games at this abandon air force base, and its really dirty there, and I do crawl around in the dirt and through branches, so mine gets a little dusty, and what's good about it is that it's not aeg blowback, so there's so risk getting dirt in the internals which is a huge advantage. Of course, after battle, I dust and clean mine off. All in all, great aeg rifle, compatible with multiple different things. I got mine on evike for $140. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

@@NotAziel Long term? No. For some short term fun? Yes. I still run it with nimh batteries tho, up until now they were cheaper in my country than lipos and I have a decent nimh charger. Im thinking of buying a 7.4V lipo for it, or maybe getting a mosfet and running that gun with an 11.1V too.

This gun is an absolute legend. Cm.028 is worth every penny. Too bad it's an AK-47 and not sone other, more common AK type like AKM. But still, with that price it's unbeatable. Every airsofter should have one.

I want this for my birthday, I like how it has real metal, has the weight, and I like the AK just in general, I had a choice between a M16 around the same price, or the AK, I’m going ak (update, I got it)

Hey man cool to see you posting from England hopefully it's all going well there with the virus and some airsoft is being played. just bought this gun for outdoor. I live in New Zealand and we can go up2 500 fps outdoors. I'm going to put a mosfet in it and new spring and hop up. Will I need new gears to handle a 410 fps spring or could the gears already in it work fine as it says comes 350 to 400 fps in the box.

Hiya! New Zealand WOW! The gears will eventually probably want upgrading but they will certainly handle the spring for now, you are right they are around 400fps out of the box as stock and should handle it for long enough to decide what gear set you want next. If anything I would just work on the shimming for it so it runs nicer and then leave it until it breaks! Pheas

What do you recommend more? cm 522S or 028S? For a beginner, since am planning to start airsoft, i have got all gear just need gun now

Hiya. I would probably go with the 522s as the colours are alot nicer than the 028 series. The 028 tends to be quite bright coloured and not particularly nice, the 522 goes with a more flat black and better looking colours over all. Internally they are almost identical. Pheas

I got the gun and battery. They sent the charger in a separate box. It’s whatever to be honest. I was hoping the battery would have a little bit of juice but the gun would not fire. So waiting for the charger to come in.

Hello! You wont be able to fit anything on it straight out of the box without appropriate accessories. You could get a top cover with a ris rail integrated, you could get a rear leaf sight ris mount (I like those) You could also replace the handguards with RIS based ones too if you wanted to. Hey man, should i get the 028 version with undefolder or with normal stock? Am asking because i saw cm 028B that has undefolder and i really like them but i only rented them so i have no idea where batteries go, i can only guess that batteries go inside handguard, so i need your suggestion if i should get that one and if yes, where batteries go?

Hiya, in the folding / under folder stock types, the battery goes under the removable top cover. This allows you to slide a thin stick type battery in. Phess

Do't even make that suggestion because I will! I've already got 12:1 ratio gears to fit with some other shs goodies, a high speed motor and a MOSFET so an 11.1v will be insane in this... Actually I might need the drum mag ha ha ha ha Pheas

Hey Pheas! I am looking into buying that gun! I already have the Cyma m1a1 thompson and I thought an ak47 would be nice :D How did the AK Paint job turn out? Did you paint it? If yes with what? Do you recommend this gun and if yes what NiMh battery should I get for that? Are there any better AKs on Taiwangun that you would recommend under 160$? Thanks !

Hello! the paint job came out well, probably should have used tougher painter as it can chip / scratch easily (use krylon if you can) but the spray on varnish we used does an ok job to keep it together. Just make sure whatever you are spraying is very clean and dry so it takes and doesnt bubble etc. Pheas

also... Lipo batteries not Nihm, they are better. The double bell stuff.. gets you more for your money externally.... but internally not as good or as reliable. Stick with cyma. Pheas

You can remove the stock, but it would need rewiring and it also leaves the stock bracket sticking out of the back. Good job I love AKs in all of their forms! Pheas

What BBs should i use on a stock Cyma be it the Cm.028 or im more keen on the CM.031. I have some 0.28 bbs but some say go to 0.20 or 0.25 max.

Hello! If its stock then I would say no heavier than 0.28. I always run 0.25g in just about alll of my stuff.... but I am on UK fps limits. I find they are the sweet spot for me, but if you get good results from the 0.28g then stick with them! Pheas

Hiya. Honestly... the externals of the 28 are better in terms of feel and general built quality, but the colours they have chosen (the silver) isn't my cup of tea. Internally they are pretty much identical and either will serve you well! Pheas

Hiya, It will depend... some AKM parts are for the 74 style build, others are for the TM type build. If you want to use "real" wood then yes, but will need ALOT of moddying to fit. Pheas

Hello! If you get one that is direct from the factory then its usually around 400 fps, but if you are in the UK then most retailers should / will downgrade to uk limits. Pheas

man, i got this today and with everyone saying how good it is i would have to disagree. im probably the one in the wrong but heres the problems ive been having: dust cover is hell to put back on gun wont shoot even with the battery in (probably because ive only charged it for like 20 minutes but idk) i think the battery is fine because the gun makes a slight quiet noise when i try to shoot it does anyone know whats the problem?

Hiya. That's a tough question. If you are going to be running the cm.623 then it wont deal very well with 11.1v and the mosfet will burn out pretty quickly, so thats something to watch out for. I do love AKs and the inner russian in me says GET AN AK!!! but they are not everyones cup of tea. The 623 being an AR offers a lot more of customisability for the externals so could be the better option if you want to play with how it looks externally/. Shooting wise, there isnt much in them so I would go with externals that you want. Hope that helps Pheas

Thank you for the response!! I don't understand so much about the battery but I have read that a better battery will be a lipo instead of the stock one. It will be my first airsoft gun and I want to have a good experience and I found these two guns. Do you think there is a better option within that price range?

@@younggunner4779 Certainly go for the lipo as they tend to just be better all round and last much longer in all ways than the included one, but they do need a special "balance charger" for them. Hiya! If you are in the UK and buying brand new, then ideally it shouldnt be more than £100 in all honesty. If its second hand.. depending on the condition and accessories.. maybe £60, but I would expect a few mags with it and fully working, and the box, lower if none of those have happened. Hiya. I know and it's causing me some grief. They have decided that they don't like anything that shows "working" on a gun. So nearly all of my how to videos are now age restricted which also means no ads on them either. I challenge it every time that these are just toys and the material covered is not transferable to real guns but they won't have it. They have brought down the sledge hammer on Airsoft stuff, it's putting a lot of creators off making the how to videos as (if you are trying to make a career out of this) it's chopping your legs off at the knees a little. I just hope they realise that real fire arms and Airsoft are very very different and changed the rules. Pheas

Hello! It is plastic done up to look like real wood. Up close it is not convincing at all., but at any sort of distance is it passable. You can get full wood kits for them though. Pheas
