Thank you! It will take some time to build it, because I want to do my own motorization for it. So I will see if I can do it more nicely and better than Faller with motorization kit for 250 €... ☺

Mine arrived today. Good to see there are metal parts coming with the bridge. Hopefully, they will switch to metal gearing for the motorization kit, too. However, I'm still unsure if I want to motorize it at all. Especially the unnatural shaking of the container when moving the bridge is something I don't like…

Matt, right the metal wheels are good sign. I will motorize it on 100%. It will be longer process because I want to use my own solution but hopefully I can solve it. The disadvantage are wheel trucks which are prototypical and there is no space to integrate motors. So they must stick outside. The Heljan crane got more massive trucks where can you hide more things. I will see... A lot of success at building I wish you! ☺

Fantastic set. Make more video during the costruction. At the end make a time lipse video for view all costruction in a small time. It would be wonderful to see the complete construction of this set :) :)

Timelaps video would be great, but I got no time for that... 😃 I want to try to motorize it on my own so it will take a lot of time. At the moment I got glued main beams. In each locomotive review that I will post in next days or weeks I will have a look at my progress with the crane. So stay tuned... 😊

Do you need glue to assemble that thing, quite expensive for a plastic kit?

Yes you do. But if you want to install motorization kit, you can not do it after finalization. So everyone who wants it motorized, have to wait for the motorization kit (which comes in September 2019) and install it during crane assembling.

No. It's just a kit for 350 €... Motorization will cost next 250 €...

Stimmt es das die Containerbrücke zwar verfahren werden kann jedoch keine Container greifen kann wenn das Funktionskit verbaut ist ?

Ja stimmt leider. Faller liefert so nur eine halbfertige Lösung... 🙄

Ja leider. Aber muss sagen, dass der Kran sehr detaliert ist. Aber sowieso das Kit ist überteueret... 🙄

also wenn ich mir für 600 Euro einen Containerkran mit Steuerung kaufe sollte er in erster Linie Container stapel können und nicht nur leer hin und her fahren ... das konnten Brawa , FallerAMS und zuletzt Heljan ja auch . Funktionierende Containergreifer gabs auch mal von Ade oder seinem Vorgänger . Da ist das wohl ein Witz oder ? ( Ich habe ihn auch bestellt und beim Händler liegen )

Na ja Frank. Wir wissen alle, das er überteueret ist. Jeder muss selber entscheiden ob er sich lohnt oder nicht. Ich will am Anfang nur in Kit 350 € investieren und Motorisierung günstiger und besser machen. Der Vorteil von Heljan war, dass er fertig war. Weniger Details aber war fertig. Leider waren dann da Probleme mit Elektronik und der Hersteller hat keine Ersatzteile gehabt... 🙄
