I might have bitten off more than I can chew to check this off my diamond painting bucket list, but... here’s an unboxing of a giant kit from Diamond Painting Deutschland. Katie! Hey girl, why do we have so much in common? Lol! I bought this one and one other, “Call Of The Sea”. I haven’t started either yet, but I did kit one up. It took forever! Lol! We will have to compare notes. Have fun and great video!

I have never done one with this many colors. I just got the old shoe house from DAC which is almost the same size of canvas but only 57 colors so this is fabulous 👌

I bought Love Is In the Air by Josephine Wall from this company a few months ago. Same size, round drills and 240 colors! I’ve been too scared to start it 😂🤣 What have we done to ourselves? 😬 I ordered it through the website for shipping to the US but it took me forever translating it a little at a time to make sure I was ordering correctly. It’s good to know I can do it an easier way next time so thanks so much for that info. The color issue is so tricky to get right - it can be too pixelated especially without enough colors but also sometimes with too many colors. Just fyi there’s a KZfaq channel called The Danish Crafters and on there Tyra has videos of her Josephine Wall from this company. In one video she shows her drill organization. The painting you chose is so gorgeous and I look forward to seeing you work on it! 😃💎💗

I like that the colors are in their own baggies and I love the image. If the canvas was poured glue and not double sided adhesive I'd purchase the kit without thinking twice about it lol.

The double-sided adhesive has been pretty good quality for the most part, but I’m just unfamiliar with working with it and I think I might have caused some bubbling through my own clumsiness. But I hear you! I wish it were poured glue, for sure.

I'm working on a custom diamond painting with 98 colors :). It's turning out really nice. I kitted up by DMC codes and after I while, I now know where to find symbols easily.

Omg, I want to order Spirit of Flight so badly. I had bought a journal years back with the image on it and it is easily my favorite. This painting is gorgeous!!! I actually love the confetti, it gives it so much more life.

Oh my goodness, Spirit of Flight is an incredible piece! Maybe it’s something you can pick up this year. I don’t know that I’ve seen anyone work on it, but I’d really love to. The confetti has been absolutely unreal, but it’s so neat to see how it comes together!

I bought Spirit of Flight, but I bought it from DAC. At the time I wasn't aware of this company. I'm nervous about starting the kit I bought because it only has 66 colors. I'm afraid it won't look nearly as detailed as if it had come from this company.

Oooh yes. Shipping things from germany is so damg expensive. Esspecially when you want to ship it outside of Germany let alone Europe. I shipped something from Germany to the Netherlands one time and due to the fact that there was a little card in here (by their policy this isn´t concidered a normal letter anymore but more like "product" shipping) i paied 16€! (nearly 20$). For a letter that would have cost me 85 cents inside of Germany. The only wide known company that ships into other countries that we can use is called DHL and let me tell you they strip you down to your last euro if they have to.

I am working on a painting that is 150X60 and only 52 colors. Its taken me 2 months and I am about 3/4 done. lol Good luck.

Its going to take about 30 mins to find the correct symbol drills amidst all those colours and add the confetti to the mix, well I'm crying here. I hope you have a stash of alcohol or chocolates to help you through it. I wouldn't know where to start myself lol even though I am sooo tempted. Eek and the canvas doesn't seem very clear in places so double eek and more chocolate supplies will be needed.

Oh goodness, it definitely took a little while to get used to finding the drills and symbols I need, but I’m happy to say that now that I’m over halfway done with the kit, it’s gotten easier! There was definitely a lot of chocolate involved, though 😂

Pretty tablecloth!!! I am very interested in your process. I have yet to understand a lot of DP terminology like “what does confetti” mean in terms of DP. Overwhelmed!!!

It can be overwhelming! I'd recommend continuing to watch KZfaq videos to get the hang of things and the lingo - Rachel Rae and Mrs. Crochet and Coffee have some really fantastic videos geared specifically to beginners (I'm hoping to film one myself in the coming weeks, but I don't want to leave you hanging!)

I just ordered 4 paintings from this company. After watching this video I think I need to resign from work and dp all day to have any hope of completing even one of them. I don't know what I was thinking!!

Ooh, Sharon! Which four did you order? Are they all Josephine Wall kits?? I know they carry smaller canvases with fewer colors, and I’d imagine those are much more manageable. Though I definitely wish I could just sit at home and DP all day 😂

Could you say how much it cost? I just love to have a huge one like this, cuz I would save up for it, plus the shipping is $40.00 wow!

I believe it was around 100 euros - you can use Google for the conversion to USD, which does usually fluctuate a bit. It’s spendy, but it’s a large project! Also, the shipping is a flat rate for something up to 4-5 kits, so some people find it worth it to save up and buy more than one kit at once. I hope that helps!

Hi there! This kit is currently only available in square drills. I don't think rounds or squares are necessarily better, it just depends on your personal preference and the level of detail you want to try to get with the image.

Katie, I have a bunch of tool kits that you get with diamond paintings. What can I do with them instead of throwing them out?

Hi Marcia! You can contact local elementary schools or daycares and see if they might use them with crafts. Otherwise, you could contact pen turners and see if they could use the pink pens. Oh, also, check in a few of the diamond painting FB groups - sometimes people are looking for extra toolkits!

Hi, Can you please confirm that this is double sided tape? I have been told that this company use a poured glue with a white cover which I was under the impression was not possible.

Hi Vikki! This is definitely double-sided tape. My understanding is that the company’s smaller canvases come with poured glue, but I’m not sure whether they have the clear plastic or the opaque cover. I hope that helps!
