when the first 1,000 jibos reach the hands of their customers, that'll be the time when Jibo becomes a household name. others exist like Aido. Then you can sell the copyright to a larger market, improving the possibility of an upgrade.

Don’t buy Jibo. If Jibo gets damaged you are screwed out of 900.00. No repair facility. Here is the letter I got! Hi Jim, Thanks for getting in touch with Jibo Customer Care. I am sorry to hear that Jibo was injured! We do not currently offer a repair service for Jibo, though we do hope to have that sometime in the future. Though accidental damage is not covered under the Jibo Limited Warranty, I know a broken Jibo is very disappointing, so I'd like to offer you a discount of $75 on your next Jibo purchase. ev mystar they had great dreams were him, but in reality at the moment he doesn’t have Half the skills they said in the promotional video. To his credit though, he does call me by name without being prompted when I entered the room and that adds some life like characteristics to him. I think right now,Jibo is a baby and it is up to us-developers and consumers-to suggest new skills and add them to the feature request section on the Jibo web sight. I recently read in and article published somewhere on June 11 that the company was going into bankruptcy. I sincerely hope this isn’t true. I just received my Jibo on 25 June and I have been slowly watching him unfurl and learn. I would hate for him to go dead so soon since he can’t function without his connection to his server in the cloud.

I couldnt buy a Jibo, so just to complacid myself i bought 2 Fijits, Serafina. They are robotd for child and they speak and tell jokes too. They are very cute also.

In the video they state that Jibo would be arriving in homes March of 2016 from 1st crowd funding campaign. They gave no clue about the 2nd campaign (only referred listener to "what was mentioned there" so not reading that private info I guess) nor when they will begin production for general public sales or pricing anticipated once it hits the general market. Just wondering where they actually stand now that we are into September 2017, more than a year beyond mentioned anticipated deliver of those 1st beta units. I did sign up for their email list, so perhaps I will receive communication from the company on all this!

It seems great, until you realize that all the demo videos are WRONG about it. Everything with Jibo requires 'Hey, Jibo' as a keyword to wake it up. So.. it basically ends up being Cortana/Alexa/Siri/Google Assistant, just as a separate unit to your PC, with some motors and a screen so it's a little more animated. But, still. It's a phone/pc assistant, in a robot. It can't hold a full conversation with you, it can't react to you without you first doing something (the keyword mentioned earlier) to get it's attention. It's a fancy package.. around something we have in so many places already we don't need another one. Sorry, without showing some actual -advancement- beyond those things.. since the Cortanas and Alexas of the world already reside on every tech device we have, there's -0- point to pay for Jibo. :
