Do not be so disapointed about the "made in Romania" , i have vizited the factory in Brasov and it is super high tech and the eingineers there well trained and many are also music lovers in their spare time. Hands down i will take them vs made in Ireland version (old factory had some issues). I am from Bucharest so it is a 230km~ trip to Brasov factory. Cheers PS: if there where issues with products/low quality i will be the first to critisize them. Meze is also made in Romania at Baia Mare , hope to visit them to soon.

Dumitrescu Leontin being Romanian built is a good thing in my opinion. It’s Chinese stuff I worry about ! I have these limited edition HD25s and they are as good as they have always been . The sound deceptively good! And deliver a really precise and premium sound .

I was surprised when mine came in today and didn't say made in Ireland, but they seem great so far and I'm glad to hear the Romanian factory is high quality, good on Sennheiser knowing who to trust

I had the normal ones, the cable was awesome, better than some other 300+ USD headphones I owned. The sound was pretty good, very punchy. I didn't keep them because fit was pretty bad for me and the cups feel very plasticky and cheap. I kept a pair of Beyer T51i which sound almost as good, but are miles ahead in terms of build quality and fit. I wish Sennheiser made the Aluminium/Amperiors again.

I just got mine. They have a nice boomy bass punch and that’s about it. They are lacking the highs and clarity of my Grado 325 and iSine20. I got them when they were $100, so I’m satisfied with that.

Did you do a burn-in with them first? The sound signature changes after several hours of use.

I think it's time for a wireless editing - with Bluetooth 5.2 and USB C it would sell quite well I think :)

It actually currently sells for $99. but yeah, that's probably all they're worth. Not even made in Germany.

I don't think that it's much.They sounds amazing.I have many on ear closed headphones,and it's hard to find that sound.

@@Wuppie62 it's just an hd25 stop glorifying it and getting butthurt when people don't put it on a pedestal. it's a well known quantity In the audio market. They sound pretty decent and Slightly aggressive on the high end aside from having next to no soundstage. I had the amperior (basically hd25s with aluminum cups) back in the day and got rid of them within a month. I don't care how good it sounded that shit was a head torture device for how tight it clamped and how thin the pads were.

It's great quality plastic, well engineered. Can last a lifetime. But all the parts can be bought seperately. I've ordered and received a pair last week. They sound great for what I do: listening to many genres, mainly popular music, and DJ-ing. Sound a lot better than my AKG Y50. Ordered them @ Music Store in Germany and got the yellow 'anniversary' edition as promised. 99 dollars/euros is a bargain for the soundquality, durability, lightweigh but secure fit, and a classic industrial design. They used to be sold for 150-200 dollars... Sure, Sennheiser made a nice profit from these, but they're worth it: great drivers inside.

The 414 must be the ugliest pair of headphones I've ever seen. Also never liked the sound of Senheiser headphones. Might be German, but most sound like scheisse. Sorry, just the honest truth. Same with AKG btw.
