Beautiful. I have a '64 D-28 and a 2012 V45 and love them like kids. Thanks for the show and Congratulations!

I SPECIFICALLY remember Clapton talking to the Martin manager about this exact guitar. And Clapton SPECIFICALLY talked about the ACTION on his signature D-28 and SPECIFICALLY commented "will the action of my signature D-28 be low for the customer - like the one Clapton was shown?" The Martin guy said yes. Well, you can see how that turned out.......

The setup was pretty good out of the box, not great, and a bit high for my liking. I'm sure they set up the one they gave to Eric Clapton before they handed it to him. I am replacing the light strings with mediums (Martin Lifespan 2.0 13-56) and will have the action lowered in a month or two once I've played it a bit more.

Nice looking guitar ! Didn’t know EC played one. Always think of Jimmy Page when I see a D-28.

D-45 in Cream days. I saw him play a D-28 one when this guitar was released as a limited edition. A Rosewood Dreadnought is usually going to be a D28, D42, or D45 when it's a Martin. 42 and 45 have more bling, not necessarily fundamental construction or tone differences. The Martin fans are going to say that it depends upon the year and they are correct. My D28 is basically an old spec D28 or what they would call an HD 28 today with the addition of the Clapton neck and some more bling on mine.
