In the listing of this Samantha, people were asking to see the tag and the seller ignored the request but I didn’t think anything of it. Now I understand 😆 Oh and yeah, I was so annoyed the teacher miseducated her! My niece totally forgot the correct word in favour of the wrong one!

Thanks Paula! My Cecile is definitely a beauty. I can’t believe her hair! I think my Samantha is 1991-92 based on what people have told me. Outside of feeling like I should know the info for putting her in a video (too late!) I’m not too concerned. I just felt dumb not having the info, because people ask such questions, so I could only do my best to describe everything 🙈 No matter what version she is, I couldn’t love her more 🥰

Ahhhhh that explains why all my dolls have tags lol. Someone explained these are the transitional tan body dolls from 91-92. I figured someone would know! It’s tricky to research this stuff! And thank you. I’m thrilled to have Cecile and so happy I found a Samantha who “speaks” to me 🥳

@@DisBlaine Mainly I would love to make a mini-me using Evette's hair texture in Black, same skintone and (old) Sonali mold. Closest I could get is JLY 62. If I could get a 62 that would be HUGE. (But I think she's hard to come by or else super expensive.) All she would need is a new wig! (BTW love your videos, very informative and clear.)

And I wish that CYO would include Evettes/127's wig because that fits my hair pattern perfectly! I don't plan to have a huge collection of AG dolls but I'm very picky about the ones I want lol!

I’m okay with whatever “version” she is because I love her-I just felt kind of stupid not knowing how to categorize her in the video. If I ever talk about her again, I hope I’ll have her pegged better 🤣 Her eyes look closest to the dreamer Felicity and Samantha dolls I found on Reddit. They’re not as dreamy as Molly though. Maybe that’s why they call her dopey lol!

In the U.S., the culturally Deaf community is pretty strongly against the use of the term hearing impaired and folks who have some residual functional hearing and/or voice for themselves are generally referred to as hard of hearing. I am sure there are plenty of ppl here with hearing loss who self-identify as hearing impaired but like I said, there's a lot of encouragement to avoid that term because it ends up getting used too broadly and applied to folks who resent it. I'm not at all familiar with Canadian Deaf folks' stance on the term, though. Also, I know a lot of ppl assume a Deaf person learning someone else's sign language would be easy, but your head explosion emoji is appropriate. Depending on the languages in question, it can be as different as Mandarin and Spanish.

@@agtakesover the deaf community in Canada definitely feels the same way. I don’t think it was quite a sensitive topic way back when I knew deaf people through my ex, but nowadays they even mention it in D&I training My ex also told me Canadian and American SL are different 😵‍💫 If that’s not true, come for him, not me lol.

Hi Joanne, thank you so much! The strawberry blond hair is beautiful and unique (aside from her having an updated version lol) The combo with the light blue eyes is so special. And honestly, the new version looks so different you can barely tell they’re supposed to be similar. They have a different version of the mold, different eyebrows, a totally different character in their faces. Their new outifts arrive today, and I’m so sad 33 can’t wear the Hanukkah outfit again until winter 😆

I haven’t seen doll hospital Caroline dolls but part of her allure is the old mold, so… ew. I also didn’t know Cécile had 2 different hairstyles until I opened mine! Mine has hair similar to Claudie instead of TM67. Maybe they changed her hair in the later runs. And I’m so excited you learned about the biodegradable peanuts from my video 🥳 My goal was to teach just one person lol. The sisters look way too different for a rerelease of the same doll. They’re among my top 10 dolls tho 🥰

@@DisBlaine there are so many!! It is so wild. I've been told I have green slate, tawny slate, slate, dark slate, cinnamon, coral. Then 3 of mine have 2 different color eyes. Then there is the lighter brown I bet that's what you have. Here's the next question: do any of your Samanthas have spider lashes? They are different than the usual fan lashes.

Why they went from white cloth bodies to matching the vinyl, was because when the 4th character that came out...Felicity...due to the lower neck lines of Colonial outfits, the white cloth would have been seen, so they had to change it.

Samantha is a great doll with a beautiful collection. It’s nice to have one of the OGs. How many dolls do you have?

Tbh there are so many PC Samantha’s I may never know which one this is-but she’s my fave of all 4 I have. And yes I’ve seen his videos, even before I started a channel. There aren’t toooo many male agtubers, so they’re harder to confuse, but I like to think I’ve seen most agtubers channels. Then again there are a lot of us now 🤣

While we're on the subject of skin color...the other end of the spectrum needs to be represented as well...Jet Black. This is an actual skin tone, but all the dark skinned dolls AG has made are always various shades of brown.
