When I solder/use a heat gun on console repairs I have to remove the battery switch on the motherboard because heat can cause it to burn out / ‘pop’... so in future I would advise you hold your heat gun a tiny bit further away from the casing when doing these sorts of DIY’s, especially near the charging port area 😊 otherwise great video 🌸

I know this is a super late comment and I mean no disrespect by it but she is using minuscule amounts of heat only for a few seconds, it’s like using a hair dryer on a low setting, it’s just warm enough to slightly warm the vinyl decal and make it pliable, not nearly that hot lol 😄

I did this last month when I got mine. A whole pastel theme. Sailor Moon decal skin, Sakura nubs, Luna charm, clear glitter silicon case and a cat paw system case purse to take it around with me 😃 I love how extra yours is! I die!

Beware guys! I remember reading somewhere that the adhesive used one some Switch skins can stick over time and damage your Switch's cover! I'd recommend probably not using them at all, find some other ways to customize your switch. But if you still want to, do some research on what adhesive is used on the skin you want, find out what types stick and what doesn't.

Malica Hamilton the heat gun? It blows hot air which melts the glue to make it softer and easier to move around, u can use a hair dryer:)

I just bought the special edition animal crossing switch last week and I've been playing on it FOR A WHILLEEE and after seeing this I just bought the coral pink lite Nintendo online! Im hopping i can apply one of the cases you added at the end cause there soooo frickin cute and i already have the paw print grips from my animal crossing switch so ill use the pink and white for it! I cant wait to get this too! last thing is that I heard that the lite is perfect for traveling and i do a lot of driving to states with my grandmother! (ill edit this when it arrives if anyone's interested!)

I loved how specific you were with the getting the skin as perfect as you could. I’ve only seen people just basically slap it on and do a couple adjustments and call it good but you really did the skin justice 💖

It’s only a sticker that they need to remove, which is pretty easy with a heat gun. The rest is detachable.

They don't remove them. My joycon repair came back with the Zelda skin in tact. Legit fix and not replace

I just came across your other Switch Lite video a few days ago and you're the one who influenced me to buy one! I've put off getting any kind of Switch since it came out, but when I saw you customize it and make it your own, I felt really psyched to have my own and I've ordered one finally! Mine is yellow, and I'm buying a Cinnamoroll case :) Thanks for sharing ur artistic side! Good luck with your shop! (Hopefully I can buy from it someday when I'm not broke xD)

Exactly! I really liked the skin she put on her switch but then she added the charms and that tacky case. I feel like the charms and those humongous things on the case would’ve gotten in the way while playing it.

I’m also like that. I’m honestly so basic. But when I was thinking about buying the switch I could only see the one coloured grey one. The original one with the neon red and blue joycon just didn’t work for me. But honestly With the current situation if that was the only option I’d just take it. I like seeing people customise their own switch cuz it does look pretty but for me I wouldn’t do it at most i’d only buy a clear case.

@@averye2343 you're really lucky to have one. I ordered the original switch a week ago but it won't be delivered before july. That's why I am watching so much videos about customizing. I already ordered a skin and a crystal clear case ajd animal crossing. Everything delivered last week. I'm only waiting for my first switch 😭😂
