When a phone (whether 4G or 5G) connects to Wi-Fi, it uses the Wi-Fi network's speed, not its cellular capabilities. If the Wi-Fi network is provided by Etisalat 5G, the speed available to your phone will be determined by the Wi-Fi network's capacity and performance, not whether your phone is 4G or 5G. Therefore, all devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network will generally experience the same speed, as long as the Wi-Fi signal strength and network congestion are consistent. The type of phone (4G or 5G) only matters when using cellular data, not Wi-Fi.

I got mine today and struggling to set it up - they told me there is no password and for the instruction manual one needs a magnifying glass😊

What is the range like? I have a two story townhouse with 4 bedrooms. Would it reach the entire house?

i think you need to put a signal booster at the 2nd level. more walls means interference and will lessen the signal. the router is not enough for the entire house. you need to add signal booster. 5ghz has shorter range than 2.4ghz.

After 10 month. How is the experience so far? Am considering this option because the ont in our building keeps getting taken. Yes weird.

It depends all on ur location, these offers are bad if u don't have a window close by or u live in a remote area, expect many issues like sudden drop of speed, random shutdowns etc.

2.4ghz is better in range than 5ghz but 5ghz is just faster. 5ghz is good for nearby gadgets to the router. if your gadget is in another room, better connect with 2.4ghz. the speed will surely be sacrificed. to resolve it, you need to use a signal booster.
