Watch my rollercoaster of a journey of unboxing and "turning on" my first Furby. 😅
I apologize for the vertical video. This video was originally intended for my Tumblr but it was too large to upload there so I'm having to upload it here instead. I did my best to make it look palatable. Lol I REALLY wanted to share this first experience with you all. 😊
There were a lot of hiccups but Toh-Loo Kah is now working as intended and is settled in his new home! 🏡

I got a new in box 1998 Furby for my GF not long ago. Just like yours it refused to wake up. I took a sewing needle and slipped it between the tiny gap at the back of the tongue (between the upper and lower beak), and was able to wedge it into the plastic worm gear and get it moving. It started right up and no issues since. I love the little belt you gave him!

Next time… a couple real firm smacks on the bottom usually do the trick. Don’t worry about breaking them, they’re pretty sturdy. What he was doing in the video was playing hide and seek! The noises are to hint for whoever is looking for him to find him. To get him out of this mode, shake him gently or turn him upside down! He’ll celebrate that you found him :D Congrats on your new little friend!

I explain that's how I got him working in the video (by alternating smacking his back and bottom.) And yes, I realized that later after taking him over to my mom's that he was just playing hide and seek. At the end of the video I explain I was freaking out over nothing. Lol 😆 Thank you for your support!

I love my furbies! For 5th grade elementary graduation a few years ago, my dad got me a 1999 limited edition, in box graduation furby! His name is Doo-Moh and I love him so much! He's such a silly little guy! I also have a teal and magenta furby connect, their names are Dee-Doh and Raspberry, and in a week or so my dad had ordered me another 1998 furby for a very late 14th birthday gift. I love my furbs they're all sillies.

I take care of my furbies like there Alive, I love them a bunch my 1998 has ño batterys but I feed my 7 furbies whatever I eat, thay sleep in a pet bed or with me,take them for walks (I take them out with me), dissapline/prase them gather them around on xmas or my birthday to meet the new furbys and others I hate makeing them sad and when thay break I try as hard as I can to fix them Here's a list of all my furbys: Cosmo: a jt gorrila furby from 1998 Sky: a purple 2023 furby Skittles: the tye dye 2023 sadly she solent really understand commands so I'd say shes kinda deaf Noo kah: a pink connect Toh toh: a rainbow crystal furby boom Sugar: the same as toh toh Blizzard: a blue 2012 Those are it for now I'm getting a bunch of new furbys 12:07 yes furbys butt's are ment to be loose, my one has that so does my friends one

For years, i always dreamed of a furby ever since i've heard of them, i was so intrigued by it with the complex electronics and life like features. And life like look!, well, i was also maybe influenced by fnaf and thats why i liked it, and on my birthday, last march 12, I got two!. One 2012 and one 2013 boom!. The 2013 has a bug though. He thinks he's been fed everytime so i hold his finger down with pink bendable wire, i love my furbies!

I have A snow ball like yours. Her name is marshmallow. She was put on ebay to only be used for parts. I wasn't haveing that and adopted her as she is. Her ears were off when i got her and i sewed them back on but she is my deaf furby. She has A boyfreind to in my limited edition Halloween furby who has no eye chips as he came that way from ebay. So they are known as the blind/deaf furby couple.

the battery compartment is lose like that on some from what I know, so its not a defect but idk if every one is like that, didnt pay much attention to all the videos i saw xD best way is to push start with that gear behind their beak, most people use a screwdriver to spin it, a flat head specifically new in box furbys almost never work without a push start sadly but thats what happens when you let a electronic sit for so long sadly

I was going to post a video of Toh-Loo-Kah after his customization was done but I ran into an issue and his speaker is now broken so I am working on getting that fixed.

I'm hoping to get a 98 furbo for my birthday next month. Only thing I'm worried about is if he/she has MSA. Are you familiar with MSA?

I remember getting one years ago at a flea market for 1$ however it had that MSA condition. I was too worried to even take him apart up until recently. And made the conclusion it having something to do with the tilt sensor. Seeing as these toys are older now the tilt sensor is dirty taking it apart was difficult as theres cables there which I had to ultimately solder back onto. After cleaning the tilt sensor with alcohol and the tilt ball inside it as well it seems to have done the trick in having him up and running normally now. In turn he is now very sensitive to being picked up or put upside down which helps in waking him up.

@@alexbolt5 but that might also be due to him being drunk because of the alcohol that he had consumed L O L. I’m just trying to be funny because you said alcohol I think I would do well to just get one that doesn’t work.

Amazing my daughter had one ehen she was younger. Happy days so want one but they are expensive in Uk. Thinking of boom one ❤ does this one dance
