I see people complaining about the “mermaid dress” honestly these people don’t know the difference between a mermaid dress and a pencil dress which was popular in the 1950s rockabilly scene.

I think this is a doll you have to see in person to love, as she has small details that are missed just looking at a photo of it. I mean for me I love her, as I love the character of Operetta. People are missing the musical notes enlaid under the web design in her dress. The actual red bead buttons on her corset, her hair bow is amazing , it is dice if you look close to it, and to have her spider on the dice box is so crafty and smart. I love the over coat of her skirt with the vinyl records , as I love vinyl and collect old time records. my favorite is the small touches of purple faux leather on the top of her dress and bottom. For me I think the earrings should have been candles like is so bid in Phantom or a monkey with cymbals would have shocked me. Her shoes are replicas of shoes Lady Gaga wore on her Born this Way tour, and I really love that as they worked with Gaga before, I don't know if they meant to but it was endearing to a Gaga fan lol. To me I was impressed at 50 bucks for her, Lenora um no at her price .

I went ahead and ordered her a couple days ago. The price caused me to hesitate but because I personally love the design and character I decided it was worth it.

Great review. My favorite Operetta is the jeans version. You are so right about the Fang Club - of which I'm a member - and I have not gotten one exclusive. 😶

She is not AS mass produced and that would make her more expensive. I think you can only get these G1 dolls through Fang Club now.

I feel like they have Barbie-fied the newer releases. The prices for some of the dolls is too high.

You're basically paying for the box and a piece of paper same with the off white dolls if the collectors were sold in the same as Abby they would have been at least 25

Slightly nicer collector doll costs a little extra? Everyone freaks. Playline dolls being scalped for over $100 by creeps who had nothing to do with making the product? They sleep. Seriously, I had like $25 in my account when Fang Club Ghoulia released, I have negative sympathy at this point.

Do you know if they are going to re-release the Operetta doll? I would have the one in jeans.
