agreed or a commercial he's done. That's why I love Mark Bone for example because he actually shoots alot of stuff professionally and shows that in his videos too.

@@UNIT9TV sure but quite often those expire after the Commercial has been out so you can share it. Also, as an influencer with quite a big following, I'm sure he could get permission from clients since he would be pushing their content too. Either way, I'm sure he has done some great work!

Great to see this test thank you! Was lusting for this cam when announced, but still happy with my C200 for now. Raw files are huge, but up to 60p in 4k RAW is AWESOME and all I'll need for a while.

It's not a deadpixel. The sensor needs a apc-scans before you start recording. The sensor can map-out the pixels and there are no non working pixels to be found. Coming from an Fx9 owner.

@John Stephenson I see a blue one on his arms during the low light (really visible at 12:24) a red one on the softbox of the light, a white one on the bottom left corner, and an other white one near his youtube trophy on top right All 4 visible during the low light test around 12:00

I vote for a dead pixel. I never noticed the 2 dead pixels when I first bought my EOS 6D a few years back UNTIL I shot in low light with high ISO. Now it is the first thing I check when buying new gear.

the FS7 and FX9 are such versatile cameras. They can be used for regular ENG purposes but in Cine EI mode become great lower level cinema cameras. I love my fs7! $40 on a small rig adaptor can allow you to put the handle directly on the camera and bypass the long arm making it much better for handheld shots. The XAVC-I codec is amazing, too.

Got an FX9 myself and really like you looking into this camera! Been experiencing some color fringing when in a backlit scene. You can see it at 3:09. The green lines around the subject and blue/purple fringes on the bike.

Definite fan of the Sam Cam. I shot with 2 Sony FS7 cameras two weeks ago for some interviews. I really liked the build how it handled in low light. Worked great on a Kessler slider with a second shooter motor. The FS9 looks much the same just with more frame rates. I am really impressed with the auto focus and auto gain/iso on the FS9. Very handy! I would like to see you really put the FS9 through its paces.

Seems like a really solid camera ! I'm using the Pocket 4K and love it, but for when I need AF, I would probably rent one of those, seems much nicer than other cameras, I like how it doesn't hunt. And the lens kit is nice !

Yeah comparison of the fx9 to c500 would be awesome with all kinds of lighting variables from awesome lighting to extreme low light situations. Would also love to see a comparison of recording media for both cameras XQD VS CFAST.

worked on a small documentary job a while back. 3 cam shoot, 2 a7s on gimbals and I got to work with this same setup FX9 all day. Waaaaay more intuitive than the FS7 and the image is miles better. The first sony camera I'd buy personally.
