In this unboxing video I show a 1: 32 scale locomotive that has been available on loan for a short time. The handcrafted brass model of the Bavarian D XII (series 73) is delivered by the company Spur1-Exklusiv (www.spur1-exklusiv.net) in a stylish, heavy wooden box. The locomotive is 382 millimeters long and weighs 4.2 kilograms. Based on a multi-protocol digital decoder LokSound 5L from ESU, the model has numerous sound and light functions as well as a motorized replica of the reversing when changing direction on board. The model is produced in Poland in the former factory of the former 1-gauge manufacturer Pein.
A total of five different versions of epochs I and II are realized from this model in a total of just 30 copies. The delivery of six advance copies started in spring 2020 and the other copies have been produced and delivered successively since October 2020. For this post I was able to borrow the Bavarian D XII in the original version with the company number 2201. The recommended retail price for this exclusive model is 5950 euros.
At the end of the video there is also a link to another small unboxing video about a Bavarian local railway car that goes well with the 73 series and is produced by Fine Models in a very small edition.
