Here are a few things you need to know:
1. Use clean, crisp lines to fold your geometric templates. They are geometric after all! So be careful and take your time to fold them. If you need detailed instructions, find a video tutorial here.
2. Use ALL the tape to tape your templates! Remember, you are pouring liquid concrete into the templates. So be sure that the template is super sturdy.
3. Coat the template with your vaseline thoroughly and completely. You can use your foam brush to coat it. And if you don't have vaseline, olive oil, silicone, or coconut oil work too.
4. Once your templates are ready, folded, taped, and coated with oil, place them inside the shipping box. Your Geometric Concrete Planter Craft Supply Kit shipped to you in a sturdy white box. This is the perfect surface to avoid any messes.
5. Once you mix your concrete with water, you need to pour and let it set quickly! Concrete sets FAST. So be ready before you add water to your concrete.
6. Only pour your liquid concrete 3/4 full. Leave space at the top to set a small cup inside, thus making an opening in the concrete and turning a sculpture or object into a planter or container.
7. Let your concrete set! After an hour and a half or so check your concrete and see if it's solid enough to remove the mold. I recommend removing the concrete from the mold while it's slightly damp but the shape is set. If you remove it while it's still damp, the mold will tear away much easier!
