I remember Sharp's phone. It was on Boost Mobile. I almost went for it but because I wasn't sure about the company I went with an HTC. 5 years back or more a lot of good midrange phones came through the prepaid circuit. I suddenly remember iiDA phone by KDDI Operator (now called as AU) the design is so and uniquely good... www.au.com/original-product/ while other brand push a more "common look" approach... I mean people quite shock when they know Samsung had Galaxy Folder line-up, while in japan that is quite common to see flip android phone... even until this day.

The Nokia N-gage from many years ago had a 5mp Carl Zeiss lens and was the best camera phone of its day. Nokia knew what people wanted, but they were slow on the pickup once tech had changed.

Have you heard about another Sharp android phone that actually being one of the first to venture into 120hz screen? Well if you haven't try and search up Sharp Aquos R that comes with Snapdragon 835 under the hood with 4gb of ram. Tbh Sharp can provide much better competition alongside other phone brands but like you stated it totally got impatient and gave up halfway into the global market.

@@FlyboyHelosim it's really not a gimmick. Going for 60 to 90hz is a huge jump. Everything feels alot more smooth and responsive, and it makes 60hz phones feel outdated. Jumping to 120hz isn't as big of a difference but I actually tested it with my OnePlus 8 pro and my old OnePlus 7 pro, and 120hz actually looks alot smoother. I don't play games on my phone either so I don't compare it that way.

@@techwithchavan4986 The only similarity with the old Aquos is the name - rounded corners, camera notch, thick top/bottom bezels. Tri-bezel smartphones like Aquos and first gen MI Mix are peak bezel less design and one of the best looking smartphones imo. They might have had a bar on the bottom but the top and side parts were truly bezel less looking. Today's smartphones though with thin bezels are still thick enough to where they're noticeable and with the rounded corners and elongated display aspect ration, plain ugly to me. If sharp made the same phone with modern specs, pop-up camera so they can get thinner bar on the bottom I'd gladly pay flagship money for it. Also idk why Mrwhosetheboss mentioned the phone failed because of it's sales in the US. Most of the Aquos were pretty much Japan exclusive, when the first one he showed in the video was introduced in the US it was way outdated in therms as specs by that time and sold as a budget Verizon(or was it Strint?) exclusive phone.

There's also the Sharp R5G which has some pretty strong features. Like 120 hz QHD display, SD 865. There is nothing written about the image senors it's using though. The 48 MP ultra-wide is presumable 1/2 inch, the 12 MP main camera might be a 1/1.7 inch sized sensor, which would made it on par with Samsung S20+ and Sony Xperia 1 Mark ii. It hat also a 2x tele cam. Either way, it's a real flagship device.

Sigita J iPhones limit the users and have far better privacy policies than many other phones out there...I am no iPhone fan but it is true. And also privacy is a personal issue it really depends on how a user uses their phone

1:27 Symbian was a good OS, I've used it in my first Nokia smartphone. I've switched to Android only because all new phones were Android based. Back then Android didn't offer much an improvement in user experience over Symbian.
