Years ago I used to frequent the same cafe - The Elephant House where she would be writing in a focused way, by the window. We never got beyond "Hello. How are you today? Very nice woman, introverted like me, busily writing. She wrote the entireity of the first book there in longhand. She still pops in incognito, not to write but drink tea and enjoy some nice cake. I think she really deserves her success Right nearby is the Greyfriars cenetary where she got a lot of inspiration for character names. That's a beautiful calendar. I iove things like that.

We give our kids both a chocolate advent calendar and a toy one. I just consider the toy one as a gift. I like it because they can enjoy it for the weeks leading up to Christmas and concentrate on it. They usually don’t take a lot of room when totally unboxed.

Went and bought myself this!! Couldn't find it in Asda until I looked in the kids clothing section! Roll on December 1st!

Try using the rings as toe rings...or pinky rings....you could also put the rings on the bracelet or a chain....ware it as a necklace

What u can do with the rings is u can either put them on a spare chain for a necklace or put the bracelet if they don’t fit u

Great review and I'm impressed with the quality of the items. It is weird that the rings are non-adjustable (no matter their targeted audience) because people come in all shapes and sizes, so do fingers. They would fit me no problem because I have tiny fingers (eventhough I'm 54) but I've seen children with bigger sized fingers than mine so I wonder if the rings would fit them. You could place the rings on the neck of (potion) bottles. I saw someone on KZfaq who filled vials with beads in the colour of the houses. The house rings would be a great match. Or display them in a ring display case. That would look great in your bookcase. And yes, like you, I like to get at least one month out of my Christmas decorations.

Advent is *technically* from the first Sunday in December through Christmas Eve (December 24). Advent calendars *should* have 24 days. The 12 Days of Christmas are celebrated from Christmas Day (December 25) until January 6th. A lot of people call calendars with 12 Days Advent Calendars, and open them before Christmas, but they really should be opened beginning on Christmas Day and on the 11 subsequent days.

I like the setting of this video, it seems a bit more personal and cozy, as if we were actually sitting down on the bed and sharing the excitement of the calendar. The base point of a video like this is to show what you get in the calendar, and you did that well. Just because it's not like every other youtubers setup, who's to say that's a bad thing?

The ring with the bird i think is a Phoenix and it has a smaller wing because it is flying

You could take the rings and place them on a board around the shield with the rings by the houses.

I would love a Harry Potter advent calendar. This one is really cute, although I don't think it's available in the US. Also I'm allergic to nickel, so I have to be careful about costume jewelry. For costume jewelry, this does look like nice quality, definitely stuff I would have enjoyed as a teenager.
