Advent calendar season with Sophie Louise is my favourite season!

Just an FYI, a lot of advent calendars have 24 doors because the tradition originates from Germany, where Christmas is celebrated on the 24th. If they have 25 doors they are usually adapted to England or the US or whatever country else 🤗

Sophie it would be so cool if you picked random numbers 1-25 and had to pull out the product from that day and put it on your face in the order you get and you can’t skip numbers even if you’ve already done that step of the makeup routine!

Honestly, I think your eye look is beautiful!! I was glad to see more wearable natural colors in the calendar for the eyes. Also thought they had a lot of different lipstick types and colors. I know it’s Christmas but a lot of calendars have 50 shades of red😒

The teddy 2.0 is actually really beautiful, my favourite at the moment. The outside of the lipstick looks lighter and more grey than it is. So I would give it a try❤

In Germany for example we celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December in the evening (Christmas eve 😁) and not the morning after so for us it’s totally normal to get „only“ 24 doors. 🙈

I think this look is perfect for a night out date...it's smokey without being too dark, but then you always look lovely.😉 And yes I mean that 💜

I would LOVE to see an advent collab vid with Soph!!!! Maybe you both unbox one together and then see what looks you each come up with out of the same products? I feel like you both gravitate towards/suit different colours in terms of eyeshadows/lips, so it would be so fun to see 2 very different people doing a full face using the same box!

I know it' seems like kind of a boring shade but Syrup is like one of my all time favourite MAC lipsticks, it's so pretty!

Complexion products are hard to put in an advent calendar while being inclusive. Just like with foundations and concealers, not all blushes, highlighters and bronzers look good on everyone so it would be like one product you paid for but can't actually use at all.

The eyeshadow was nice, and the last color you put on does have a slight bit of shimmer

I don't know if you plan on doing the Body Shop ones but I saw them on two other channels and they are the exact same as last years, same packaging, same products in the same doors. The Mac one does seem to disappoint year after year but at least they didn't just release the same one as last years, this one seems decent so far but I haven't watched the whole unboxing yet, had to pause to write a comment 😊 I look forward to these every year, its my favorite series you do, though I love all your content 💛 you bring calmness and peace to me when I'm struggling with my complex ptsd, trauma ptsd, c-ptsd and severe anxiety with panic disorder, all of which flare at night, every night. I feel like companies should make several advent calendars Fair Light Medium Deep and Deepest with different shades of things that fit each skin tone every company come out with the same thing each year Red lipstick and the same eyeshadows and liners making several boxes makes it so it wouldnt have to be the same shades but for each box for instance if #12 was a blush for Fair it would be super light pink but for deepest it would be a reddish terra.

In Denmark we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. We eat delicious food, dance around the Christmas tree and exchange presents 😁❤ We don’t have any special tradition on December 25 😅 I have never seen an advent calendar with more than 24 doors ☺️

You should try try the no7 advent calendar! There’s 2 types, one is around 50 and one is 100 I think but I got it for the last 2 years I think it’s really good! Anyway, I love this series, it feels like Christmas now

I do appreciate that you always mention that advent calendars wouldn't include a foundation or concealer because of not knowing the skin tone, but I always find it a bit of a disservice when you are disappointed that they don't include face products like bronzer, highlighter, and blush when the exact same reasoning applies. Bronzer and highlighter (and blush to a bit of a lesser extent) are also very skin tone specific. Eyeshadow and lip products can work/be made to work across a wide range of skin tones, but even a dead in the middle of the range bronzer is going to be either way too dark or way too light to work with for the majority of the customers buying the advent calendar. Lips and eyes are safer, but that being said, they could do much wider variety of colours within those categories.
