That kayak frame was first used for the Rough Ryder Reserve line. It’s a play on the canoe pattern, it differs with the swell in the center of the frame.

I have the 2ab with 440c in a clip point, it’s in my top 5 favorites list. If I could change anything about it I’d have it as a spear point. Awesome knife, good for you!

I once read in a blade journal that some leather sheaths attract moisture which may be deleterious to the knife. Of course, maybe that is nonsense. I don't know.

Having written that I do have a tip for you. John Howard worked at Queen Cutlery before he started GEC. The lines of knives he personally worked on at Queen were Case Classics and Black Box Winchesters (although possibly other Winchesters).

Those Rosecraft knives are all right. They're not my favorite. I'd personally go with a Rough Ryder Reserve instead. That GEC on the other hand is very nice. I like it.

man i love when stuff shows up early...i have a problem with checking tracking 30x in a day haha....the tapered slip looks sick, i hope it's working well bc it could be a signature dood style...

I’ve got too many GEC knives and can confirm the blade etch fades with use. Especially if you use it on food.
