I recently purchased the Parrot Teleprompter also from Adorama. When I opened the box, the plastic bag was just stuffed in the box. The quick start manual was bent, and the box for the remote had obviously been opened, the seal was missing and the tab had damage. Turned the remote over, the on/off button was in ON position, so battery was dead. First time purchasing from them. Replaced the battery and got it working and enjoy using the teleprompter. Adorama was notified a bout the 'used' equipment and we eventually worked out a settlement. Enjoyed your review.

Sorry to hear that and glad they made it right. I've personally had mostly great experiences with them but on the few odd issues that have cropped up, they've been good about making things right.
