Not sure you can get them in UK, but M&M candy should fit. Notes like "Go to the cookie (biscuit) jar to find your day's surprise" and then put the candy or key chain in an envelope or bag with the number of the day on it. Leave notes in the boxes on where to find the gifts for that day and the gifts around the house for him to find. That way he gets the gifts and you don't have to worry about the size of the boxes.

Random fact that nobody asked for: The Hogwarts Express is a Great Western Railway (GWR) Hall class and typically they weren't red they were a dark green, they ran on the Great Western Main Line (GWML) and never had a service from Kings Cross. The Hogwarts Express looks like it runs on probably the London Midland Scottish railway (LMS)

Hide gifts under tree with shape on the wrapping, then they can open that gift, could also be in a hollow bauble on the tree or in stockings. When they open the door it has the shape number color on a paper.

Great video Bloss! I love this calendar and it was nice to see different ideas of what works and what doesn't inside! I think the tiny scrolls are a great idea and you can fill them with coupons, riddles, jokes etc. I'm sure Jon will have a great time opening his 😁

I think the premise was really neat but like you said they shouldve had less slots so they would be bigger or just made the train bigger but what you ultimately ended up putting in thr drawers were super creative and it def gave ideas to pll who will buy it🥰🥰🥰

very cute!! i love the fact it's wooden that way u can reuse it! the doors are really small though :( probably only small coins, small candy pieces, charms, etc would fit in them but still a nice advent calendar!

I would try a lego minifigure or a lemon sherbet (specifically the Tescos ones which are quite small)

This calendar is lovely but I'm so bored of chibi stuff, still it's a bargain at £15.

I use Thornton's smiles, and a tiny scroll with weird Christmas facts for each day... sometimes the scroll will tell him to go look in the airing cupboard or something and there will be a pair of socks, or a keyring, or you get the idea... have fun with it x

I wish they had made the doors bigger and done two carriages instead, I think that would have looked so cool! (I don't know why but the whole thing just seems a bit short to me 😅) I love all the little small things you had to fill it with though, they were so adorable!!

This would go really nicely if you also bought one of those necklaces that comes with different harry potter charms or a set of harry potter earings. If you're making a calendar for a younger person (say like 5-12 yrs old) couldnt you use like money coins? I know that if you put American coins in there pennies, dimes, and nickels at least would fit. If the UK has similarly sized coins that could work? For a kid 24 days of coins would give them a nice amount to add to their savings. You could also potentially be able to fold up some small bills (like $1 notes) and have them fit too.

Try celebrations with the really small bounty and snickers inside 😉

I would also measure it too so you can hopefully find stuff that will fit.

No Primark here but I am hoping that perhaps next year the train advent calendar idea will be picked up by other retailers and made bigger. I loved the idea of it. I ended up getting the Lego one as we like Lego and it is available here in Canada.

I have a train advent calendar, not Hogwarts express sadly but it is nicer than this one and has three carriages meaning nice roomy draws. My son loves it and it's beautiful. I wouldn't buy this, to be honest, but if someone were to make a better version of it I'd love it. Small chocolate coins might fit but the comment below about putting in clues to find the gifts is genius.

I´d totally used that chocolate bits - just bite pieces off until they fit - what is more personal than that? ;)

Aldi and Lidl do some small ball shaped chocolates in a little net that would fit. X

Indeed a very premium project from Primark! All wood wow! Sadly nowhere to be found here XD But I already expected that. Just a select few shops in the UK had them. Anyway, those compartments are quite small. I honestly expected them to be deeper. Let's see...We love mini box-shaped candy here in the Netherlands. Fruitella (Fruity gummies), Hopjes (Hard candy in caramal coffee flavour), Boterbabbelaars (hard buttery candy). I'm scratching my head to come up with any chocolates small enough other than Smarties and M &M's. Meltykiss chocolates would probably be a perfect fit (individually wrapped squares in tons of delicious flavours) but hard to find outside Japan (maybe your local toko has them). During Christmas there's also these solid festively wrapped chocolate balls sold everywhere. Bet that would fit and that you can also get them in the UK. Fun gifts small enough could be a pin,or charmt on the last day for a special treat. Something that lasts and to remember the person who gifted it :)

Love this HP Advent Calendar. However it's not sold in the USA. I did find one on Ebay for over 75 Dollars US currancy BUT it's in the UK and they do not SHIP to the USA. I question the reasoning behind so many wonderful HP items that never reach the shores of the United States? Seems we are expected to fill the movie makers pockets and publishers pockets with lots of money but we aren't allowed to LOVE most of these wonderful made items for the HP fans. Unless you are born in the UK and live there no way are we YANKS alllowed to play too. Somethings just off with this thinking and behavior. What if we were so stingy with the whole world? I know don't compare apples to oranges. No country is perfect but many people in all countries try. Anyway adorable calendar and love the Hogwarts Express theme to bits. And I guess from afar too. Thank you for your reveal with the cute how to fill the wee drawers with actual trinkets and scrolls. On the upside of all this I save a lot of money that's not spent on this stuff and oh yeah I might just have to buy some of these adorable things being a fan. In our world hubby in his 80's, his sister in her 80's and 3 of us are in our 70's all hard core HP fans. Among my husband and I we have 5 college degrees plus and we are still HP fans:))) We probably re-read the books every 3-4 years and watch the movies every other year sometimes more. Wish the Fantastic Beasts were in book form too. Stay safe everyone and enjoy your fun and whimsy and pass it on. Why did you think that the advent calendar has 12 door's adventcalenders always have 24 door's. I have never seen one with less or more than 24 door's.

I managed to get my one back in Sept and just presumed that mini chocs would fit..so to discover that they don't is a real shame. will have to think about what to put in it now as it's for myself.

Whomever painted that did it in a hurry. The gold paint on the smokestacks looks bad in places and runs unto the burgundy/red boiler. And the black paint looks like it was put on too much at the front with it running down.

Celebrations? Cadbury's Heroes? They might be small enough to fit.
