My thought was it’s to be chained so it’s not taken out of the workshop but grounding/anti static sounds more plausible.

Hi Random DIY. Sorry for the delayed response. I still haven't used the blower function. But if it's anything like the sucking function, it's more noise than blow.

Hey Patryk. I've never done any type of carpet cleaning. But honestly I don't think it would have the grunt to do it. There might be a reason the others are the price that they are.

I detail cars for living and know a bunch of other detailers who use the same exact vacuum with extraction nozzle attachment for seat and floor shampoo. Works just as well as rug doc which I've ditched and switched to ryobi. Cheaper, longer hose, more suction, bigger tank. The main thing is what chemicals you use and their cleaning power and scrubbing..

Hey Calvin. That’s the way I understood the instructions. It works fine without one, but you’ll also notice the fine stuff will start to throw out of the blow port.

Hey Will, I still haven't worked that out either. I thought it might have been a boost mode, or maybe when you connect something to the power socket. I'll let you know if I find anything.

@@redhotgo8398 thanks for the reply. I figured it out. You have a plug socket on the hover lid. You can connect devices to it such as sanders and jigsaws that can use an adaptor on them and the hover suction can fit on those adapters and devices to collect the mess. Button || is to power on the device connected and also the hover at the same time. Awesome feature. It also has a time delay for the hover to turn of once the device stops.

Hey Kris. I don't really have anything to compare it to. But here's what I've found so far. It feels like half of the energy coming from the 1500W is being converted to noise, and when I connect it to my mitre saw, there's still more dust escaping than I would like. I also feel like there needs to be a better seal around the tub, where the motor connects, to increase the suction. In saying that, it's a shop vac, so it's not meant to be quiet, and you're never going to capture 100% of the dust. On the 'wet' side, I had a blocked drain, and this sucked out the blockage. I hope that helps.

Yeah I know what you mean used the old man's just a no name from Super Cheap Auto and it sounds roughly the same, mines just for DIY and to shampoo a few car mates and seats on the wet side. Thanks for the reply mate 👍🏼
