In this video, I unbox the Seto Kaiba Kotobukiya ARTFX J Figure from the classic anime series Yu-Gi-Oh.
Yu-Gi-Oh was a staple anime for me growing up and recently, I've rediscovered the series and the joy I used to find with it. I'm happy for the show to be back in my life and I decided to go for it and buy a Seto Kaiba figure.

I used to watch some Yu-gi-oh casually and by as an artist and kinda a collector, I find the painting gradients and detail really well done :)

@@Michela when Kaiba loses his soul in his tag duel with Yugi and he plays that card to give Yugi extra life points and he goes "Yugi I've repayed my debt. Step over my corpse and go forward" I was like 😳😱

@@JarvisBaileyVA There are moments in the series where I swear my soul leaves my body, lmfao. The final duel? I can't tell you how hard I cried. During that same duel, there's a moment where Yugi turns the tables. There's a tiny, maybe 2 second scene where Bakura dances with Yugi's grandfather and I'm telling you... I had to stop what I was doing and just sob thinking of how much he's been through as the wielder of the Millennium Ring and how he was just able to bounce right back and be his weird and wonderful self.

@@Michela Don't even get me started on the final duel! It's perfect dubbed and subbed. The way Kaiba sees Yugi destroy the god cards and acknowledges that Yugi is skillful as a duelist. The fact that Mahad really possesses Dark Magician just to help Atem. Or how in both versions Yugi falls down crying after winning but Atem tells Yugi that the champion doesn't belong on his knees 😭

Kanji is not originally from Japan, they’re characters from the Chinese script that was introduced and used alongside the hiragana and katakana writing systems. However there are some certain “made in Japan” words included in the script called “kokuji”.

I'm aware of that, but it's used in the Japanese writing language as well. I know it originated from the Chinese language.
