Hey Tea Folks! A few months ago, I asked about your favorite teas from White2tea; then, I built an order around them! Today, I'm sipping some Waffles and unboxing my White2tea order.
Also, I kept calling one of the teas INTERPlanetary Shark Feed...It's definitely just Planetary Shark Feed. (Interplanetary Shark Feed sounds like it would be...OUT OF THIS WORLD though... *comedy drums*)

In my recent unboxing I mispronounced Hojicha. One of my friends, who is a native japanese speaker, thought it was sooooo funny, because apparently I was saying "ashamed" in japanese. The irony. LOL

OMG, I love it when you have a tea session. I am not sure I am grown up enough for this, but you inspire me. I would love if you would do a beginners guide to the Gawain.

I really liked the Waffle tea. The shark feed is good too but I prefer waffles over it. The Hot Brandy is really good too. It's my wife's favorite tea from White2Tea.

Yay!! I really hope you like demon slayer because it is so fun! So many infusions. And the spiced Lapsang!!! That one is so great! A lot of shou puerh tastes to me like an old log cabin that hasn't been opened up in a while, that's slightly musty, but more like dry oak and pine. The first time I figured that out I ran down the stairs and yelled to my dad: "this is the flavor of memories!" 😂 This looks like a great tea variety!

"This is the flavor of memories" -- That is the most spot on description of shou pu'erh I've ever heard!

I just had my first experience with white2tea the other day thanks to my tea thoughts countdown. We got 4 different tea balls and I've tried the hot brandy and really enjoyed it.

How/at what temperature did you steep your Hot Brandy?

@@JackieAllen I did a long rinse with boiling water for a minute. Then I did fairly short steeps at 205 I think. I can't remember for sure. The white tea was more prominent for me. But I think if you do higher it would be more black. I have a video with my tasting on my day two of the tea thoughts countdown.

I've just ordered their 2021 'waffles' (200g) alsong with some sheng puerh. Looking forward to it 🙂 No one's first puerh is good. It's an aquired taste, imho. A bit like coffee of beer. You need to try it a couple of times before you get a feel for the taste.

I would say when shipping is running smoothly, it takes about a month for the tea to arrive. I placed this order during the holidays, so because the USPS was so backlogged, it took two months to arrive.

I'm curious how you store/rest your tea cakes when you receive them, because your experience with waffles is very different than any other person I've heard so far

I don’t have a special way that I am storing or resting my teas, though I know that’s a bit of a rabbit hole I need to dive into. For right now, I leave the coins in the wrapper and crack the bags open. I’m curious to know how my experience is so different from everyone else’s though?
