@@ganymede 😂 No. In the first film as Charles Lee Ray was DYING (not dead) he transferred his soul into the doll as it was the only thing around BEFORE he died so that he could live on. His whole purpose was to find a LIVING soul (Andy) so that he could transfer his soul into and become reborn. Sorry but I see this too often these days where a casual fan jumps in and tries to drop knowledge or debate a long time fan that has watched, collected, followed horror films for many years. So I would ask have you watched them and how long has it been LOL? I highly suggest you watch the first film and then the rest of the series in order and tell me where you see Chucky trying to pass his soul into someone that's dead. I'll wait.

@@ganymede you're talking about a movie that was much further along in the series. And if you know your horror franchises you'll know that as a series goes further along changes to the story are made that greatly lack continuity. Take Friday the 13th: Jason Goes to Hell for example. Jason has died many times and had come back to life. But then in that movie he all a sudden becomes a parasite and needs to jump from body to body to sustain his life. Now let's look at Freddy's Dead. It's suggested that Freddy had a family and lived in the same house as the Thompsons did when children started to go missing. And Freddy's torture/murder room was a secret basement at his home rather than the abandoned boiler room shown in the first film throughout series.

@@ganymede so you're first mistake was going off a film that was made halfway through the series by someone who wasn't the original director and one known for essentially not doing his homework when it comes to these films or characters. Ronny Yu was the director of Bride of Chucky the film you're referring to which was the same director as Freddy Vs Jason. You'll see that both are more of blood splattered horror comedy and not much like how the series started originally. You see he f'ed up the Tiffany resurrection situation just as he did with Jason being deftly afraid of water when the character has been seen a few times purposely walking into it to surprise unsuspecting victims. What he should've done in that scene was have Chucky knock Tiffany out first, transfer her soul into the doll, and then destroy her body so she couldn't go back to it. But it's not just Ronny Yu commonly when these stories are passed on to other directors they all have their own ideas to keep the series fresh not accounting for keeping with the continuity of the original concept. So before you say anything else as I said before please watch the series in other and pay close attention to what's going on. You're not the first casual fan I've had you educate on these films. It's beyond me why someone who knows they half know or understand the series would debate someone who's followed horror for years. You literally pulled out a detail randomly in the series and thought you had the entire series figured out LMAO! Watching them is only the first step to get a general idea and to see the changes. You'll have to research more with behind the scenes videos and information to include interviews and documentaries to truly know and understand these films. And in doing so you'll eventually come to understand how these films work, how they are made, and a little of the horror film industry.

@@joelmedinarivas I wouldn't count on that. I've purchased both the NECA Chucky and Tiffany and keeping in contact with them they are still at the stages of figuring things out. So I don't see them being able to give any definite information. When a timeframe is officially announced then it'll be a sure thing.

the one neca is working on for bride of chucky is supposed to be have articulate figures and will also be two hundred dollars cheaper than this one.

Also the hands look like enlarged generic hands as if from some old Hasbro toy dolls. I didn't notice the chest piece but the paint-up does look plasticky. It just looks like a modified Good Guy doll instead of giving it a more realistic life-like paint up. More so casual fans will not notice any of this and find it perfect. Overall it's great but for $600 I think they could've gone a little further with accuracy and detail.

The only ones I didn’t like was the 3rd the 4th and 5th and the remake

andy we will just have to wait and see. The prototypes shown on NECAS pre order page are of $6000-$7000 dolls no way in hell are the final dolls going to look anything like that. The 3D renders shows looks good however. I have never had anything from TOTS besides a mask and those are great also never ordered anything directly from them so cant comment on Customer service. I Used to collect NECA but their figures have taken a big QC control dip. Wonky paint jobs, figures that are very fragile and break right out of box, ride customer service and rude responses on FB. I will be getting the TOTS Chucky is he perfect nope but I like how he looks. I want a Tiffany but I like the Bride look better on her than the seed so I may put my reservations about NECA aside and give them a try with their TIffany. Haven’t decided if i have the cash I may get both TIffanys.

TonyP LikesMovies Personally for me, I’m more interested in Tiffany. Because I’m going to be honest, I like Tiffany more. I definitely prefer the bride one because of the jacket. The prototypes and the 3D thing look good, at least what I saw on their Instagram. I’ll just wait and see until the neca ones comes out

andy I’m definitely getting the Tiffany as well from NECA(even though I’ve had terrible experiences with them in the past) as like you I enjoy the jacket look more. Plus like yourself I love Tiffany. If I have the money I may pick up both TOTS and NECA Tiffany and maybe even Chucky but they are so similar that I will probably just stick with TOTS on him
