I used to get gifted horrible hollow dolls back in Beijing as a little kid (when there weren't resources to get good foreign dolls). The only pro was their heads pop on and off, so I could put dresses with neck straps that didn't unclasp on them.

When I was younger (grew up in the late 90's-early 2000's), I had a gazillion of Steffi Love dolls. I think they classify as knock-offs, but they surely had a decent quality for the time. Also, they had decent legs (not matchsitck ones), feet and had shoes XD

The "OMG" doll's face reminds me of my bootleg Ddung doll on a keychain from the "dollar" shop. The sister more so. I love those indie discount stores where they advertise being a dollar shop but sell random products at all sorts of cheap prices. I've found the most insane bootlegs there.

Lol where I live they have like really good barbie knockoffs. They are like articulated and there are some like direct knockoffs of early 2010s barbies (they were like one of my fav face molds, although I really love the early 2000s barbie faces)

That fake Barbie reminds me of the super cheap fashion dolls I got from 99¢ stores in California, complete with the flimsy waist that could pop off way too easily XD Surprisingly, I do like the articulation and outfit on the fake OMG.

In my country we call dolls like the 2nd one Mariapalito (Maria Palito, Maria Stcik) :v I remember when I was a kid the girls at the barrio would pray to get actual barbies for Christmas.... just to get a disappointing mariapalitos at the end :'v

A great tip is if you want to experiment with different shoe molds for custom dolls, there are cheap ones for $1 on Wish or in a dollar store. Save money and get them so you don’t ruin good Barbie shoes. Side note: they fit on Barbie and Disney princess dolls, so if you know any other dolls that fit in Barbie shoes than they probably fit those shoes as well.

I was beyond done when you took the "little Sister" out of the fake OMG box and her head came off. I laughed outloud in my office ! Something similar happened to my cousin's doll when we were kids, and I howled with laughter back then. The whole fact that her brand new doll's head just popped off out the box, and the look of surprise and abject horror, was too much of a combination to not laugh hard. Then she went and destroyed my porcelain doll, for laughing. I was angry then, but I still tease her about her headless Barbie and we are both very grown woman. LOL !!

I have two fake monster high dolls. A Frankie and a Draculara. My sweet friend knew I loved mh and found some at a flea market and got them for me. She is not a doll person herself so I don’t think she realized that they were fake, but they have the ridiculous match box legs and baggy clothes 😂 still have them and love them tho

That’s my first time seeing a myscene fake I saw a fake moxie girls doll in my local Wilko that was a fairy so if you have one near you then check it out but if not I’m gonna do a review of it at some point because i bought it for the dress 😂

In New Zealand, we used to be able to get those Barbie knock-off dolls in two-dollar stores. They were all the same; thin, hollow plastic, soft, thin hair (usually red) and very cheaply made clothes. You could never use the clothes on actual Barbie's, or vice versa, because the sizes were way off. They also came with accessories that you would think could be cool, like bicycles or picnic sets, but the plastic was so thin, you couldn't use them for any other dolls. As bad as most knock-offs can be, they're a huge improvement to the cheaper-than-cheap Barbie substitutes.

Just saw these fake OMG dolls at the local flee-market yesterday; I didn't even know there were fake OMG dolls. They mostly sell the real thing in my town.

I remember when I was a kid and we were in Spain, we went into like a little shop and they had fake Barbies. I got one, and no lie, her leg popped off as I was taking her out of the box. She was hollow, and her limbs just came out really easily. Her hair was like straw and her dress was pretty much the quality of wrapping paper. This would have been around 1999 or 2000 I’d say, and I’m glad to see that twenty years later these fakes haven’t improved in the slightest!
