Here is how you unbox your water purification amphora and get it ready to use. After a day or so, this 7L pot will purify up to about 20L of tap water every day.
You are essentially filling the pot and leaving it for a cycle of 7-8 hours. Stand the pot in a large bowl, sink or shower as the body is porous and will release a fair amount of water. Then tip the remaining water out and refill.
Do this until the water has no aroma and no taste. It may take a day or two depending on the quality of your water.
When you use the amphora, keep it in a large bowl as they need to be quite porous to circulate the water well and they will release upto 1.5L per cycle. Gradually the release will reduce.
The clay amphora is now ready to give you years of service and really fresh tasting, cool, alkalinized and energizing water. The water will even feel more slippery and thirst quenching than normal water.
Don't forget to do some taste tests with your friends, getting them to try freshly drawn tap water and water which has been conditioned in the pot for a cycle.
