They are overrated. I have a hardon karmon studio 5 and i blows it away by far. And I'm a musician. I play the bass guitar so bass is very important to me.

Isai Felix Agree, tried boom, megaboom and wonderboom, terrible for music. Congested, veiled, unbalanced. Not that any small bluetooth devices will compare to good traditional speakers, but competitors sound better to my ears. Especially audio pro, if those count. Not really the same category of speakers, i know, but still pretty small.

In India. Portronics does a similar thing. U get the same sized speaker as jbl flip 5 for nearly less than 25% less price than the jbl with better sound and quality. As u might know that jbl and ue are priced insanely high than international markets. And ue is expensive than jbl.

@@tristiangaming sadly JBL charge 3, flip 4, extreme 2 all are riddled with battery issues right after one year warranty. I own all of these speakers and replaced all of them with aftermarket batteries. Third party battery makers are laughing to the bank.

I remember last year being on an international Scouts Jamboree. We went sailing for a day, and my coach had a 'mega boom'. The dude was Dutch, and blasted upbeat foreign EDM as we sailed through the blazing sun and rapid seas. It was such a time. I remember diving off the boat to grab the speaker because it tipped off the side and smacked off the rim, but the blaring bass was still going strong. I still dont own one of these because money wise I cant afford it but it's been on my mind to this day.

Bought UE BOOM 2 still survive until now 2 yrs and still rocking the party despite the small size the sound is very loud, bass boosted, i can pair more than 2 ue products, long lasting battery. Best buy i ve ever made.

I do love this speaker but sadly my boom 2 died after 2 years (the last day of warranty but I have been refunded lucky am I) and I finally change it by a megaboom 3 who's incredible too

@James definitely not, quality has a price, you can get some good stuff for cheap price but you will not have all the things that you will have on stuff at higher price. The boom is a concentrate of quality in a little package, pretty good sound with details and bass on a little cannet size, ip 67 (and the speaker float), shock proof, multi connectivity, global quality... So yes you can get some good stuff, but you will have some downgrade like size, sound, quality, resistance...

@@feeds7672 Selling speakers was my work for long time until June so I've test alot of speaker, JBL sounds a little better, but I prefer personally the form factor and I've buy my megaboom for 130€ (I'm French and here a JBL charge 4 cost around 200€, so the megaboom worth it definitely). I do really like too the Harman Kardon and the Marshall product, but not the same size, not the same type.

Well technically it wouldn’t have been "Damn.."-loud compared to just one stand-alone speaker. An increase of 3dB may double the sound intensity, but a 10dB increase is required before a sound is perceived to be twice as loud.

I bought the Megaboom 3 two days ago, and its a really great speaker. The design is awesome (i'm done with the basic jbl look), and the sound is amazing, soft and hard, it all sounds great. You also got the equalizer with soms pre-set situations wich really comes in handy. I do got some tiny issues, but overall its a great speaker!!

I have a boom 2 and it's been tossed around as a football, put in the water, dropped several times and has taking a good beating, it still works perfectly and sounds great. These r some of the best portable speakers out there would highly recommend

I'd honestly say its waterproof, I bought one 4 years ago and my friend thought it'd float so she threw it into a lake and after seeing it obviously not she dove in after it and it went pretty deep. Still works great!

My go-to Bluetooth speaker will always be the Sony SRS-XB10 Its a tiny ass speaker, but the quality of the sound and the amount of bass it puts out is absolutely beautiful.

I accidentally ran over my original boom with my SUV and although it bent the grill around the speakers it still works perfectly years later. These things are crazy well built.

it really is drop proof. I dropped my ue boom 2 off a 6 floor parking deck and one year later, it is STILL kicking. These things are rugged monsters. I've had mine for at least 5 years and it still sounds brand new. I highly recommend it.

I consider myself lucky with finding one of these. I was on my usual walks, when I found one of these just dumped in the middle of the street. I took it home, and apart from a little dirt on the speaker, it was still working. It had a substantial charge in it, and I tested it out. It operated well! But then again it is waterproof.

I have the first ue boom for 4-5 years now. And that one is water proof and drop proof and engine oil proof and i have personally tested it (not intentionally) many times and it still works amazingly well. So i am excited for all of their products. The mircro usb was ok when i got it since all my devices had the same charger, now i need to carry one more charger for it and that is the only downside i can think of

I have the JBL Flip 4 and my friend has one of the UE speakers (I can't remember which one) and we both tested it and to me personally I prefer how the JBL sound especially the bass and since recently JBL released the Flip 5 I have now dowth its gonna be really good

My original Boom will not die. Still going strong after 6 years! Dropped mine no less than 5 times on concrete and asphalt. Just rode in a thunderstorm and it's not even the waterproof version. The 1/4" thread on the bottom is good to attach a lanyard.

Weda Prd take it to the nearest apple dealer and ask for a solution. If it’s a warranty issue it’s ok because it lasts 1 or two years unless the screen is cracked. Other simpler things to do may be to restart/reboot the device or removing the screen recorder from the quick bar when you swipe down from the right hand corner. Good luck

I bought a UE Miniboom about...7/8 years ago. Still going strong. If i were looking to get a new bluetooth speaker, I'd only be looking at UE

I love my UE Boom2. Had it for 4 years. Plays anything that can go through Bluetooth. No subscriptions necessary. I don't want to talk to it so there's no security problems! It's portable so we can take it out to the park with our dance group for a good sound production. Size of a Pringles tube. Battery life OK. 12 hours for this model is only possible at lower volumes. Perhaps 4 hours at max volume.

UE has a good design but the sound is better on a JBL so I stay there.

I have both UE and JBL and for some reason on my JBL on higher volumes the music starts distorting as the UE boom doesn't. I don't know why.

@@briskxd1093 its the complete opposite for me. my UEboom3 i got distorted like crazy and sounded like trash near max volume and my jbl charge 3 is one of the best speakers ive ever owned beside my Soundcore Motion+ and bose SoundLink mini
