For me it's Meeks. When he came in, I would have told you to see a shrink if you told me he would be a pillar of a championship team. He just got better and better every year he was there.

@@dannyheel1 good things happened when meeks came on the floor. Meeks was definetely a pillar on that team. A prime example of carolinas player development from a chubby ok kid to an NCAA champion 🏆 in just 4 years.

Agreed. His pro career didn’t quite pan out to the extent a lot of ppl thought it would so for some reason that causes him to get looked over on some lists like this. But I keep telling em these are COLLEGE lists, has nothing to do with the NBA…and judging purely on collegiate accomplishments I agree, Kenny was a beast. And I think he deserves to be AT LEAST on the list. Even Christian Laettner played a long time and even made a damn All-Star team in the league, that’s another thing some point to in order to kinda put down Kenny. Doesn’t matter, Kenny was a great player

Phil Ford has to be the best Unc point guard in my opinion. But there are more to choose from, Ty Lawson, Ed Cota and Kendall Marshall. Im sure to leave someone off.

I played football at wake forest for 4 years (mostly just special teams until my senior year when I was purely 2nd string MLB did I play no special teams). So I was no star by any means, I was only a preferred walk on so no scholarship or anything like that. But I was a HUGE wake basketball fan…so in terms of bball, we had a MINOR rivalry with duke (both in ACC and both the only 2 Power-5 private schools in the state of North Carolina). But other than that we really had no big rivalries since the days of Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, Jeff teague, Rodney Rodgers & Josh Howard. Since then we haven’t had any stars at all so therefore not many rivalries 😂

Kendal Marshall was the best true point guard I ever saw at UNC, albeit for a short time. For their career, you got to go Ford, Smith, Lawson and Felton though.
