Gaming Pastime reviews Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Remastered) for PlayStation 4.
Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was released for PlayStation 3 in November, 2007. It was remastered along with the sequels and released for PlayStation 4 as part of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection in October, 2015. Uncharted is not a flawless game but it is a great action adventure title and the remaster is by far the definitive way to experience it.

Uncharted is really fun and engaging when played on easy and normal where you can mix up your play style.

@@Devogor Well, yeah. Hard difficulty is poorly balanced and pushes you into playing in the least fun ways. It is the game's fault that those difficulties let you play in the more fun playstyle more, while also being forgiving of playing in the easy but boring playstyle.

Yh it's sad that ppl feel this need to play games in the harder difficulties despite some games like uncharted are very poorly balanced I had fun playing this on normal buy God the harder difficulties weren't fun when I had to play 10x more carefully over being the fun care free shooting the series highlights

@@theblobconsumes4859 This is true for Crushing but definitely not true whatsoever for Hard. Hard might actually be the only well balanced difficulty. Playing in a cool way has no meaning in Normal and Easy because it's not earned, you are just pressing buttons and the game is letting you win.

It was also easier for you to aim because the remastered collection runs at 60fps while the original trilogy on ps3 all ran at 30fps

I hate the Dualshock 3 controller too, but you need it when playing GT5 and GT6 and some other games unfortunately.

SIXXAXIS and pressure sensitive buttons were horrendous ideas I hated with a passion.

Several times you mentioned how the original version was more frustrating and the gunplay feeling off. You mentioned how the controls were changed in the remaster to fix this, which is true. But you also might not remember how even the most basic human enemies in the original version were absolute bullet sponges, sometimes taking 5 shots to kill. This was my least favorite part of the game and aided in the gunplay feeling lackluster. Naughty Dog realized this and rectified it in the sequels. And Blue Point changed this in the remaster to be more like the sequels. Cheers.

I could never get into the game bc of amounts of people you have to kill playing as Nate...How in the world he manages to gun down mercenaries and spec ops through out the game while being a complete dumbo is beyond me

I'm sure you already know this but it should be noted for anyone who may not be aware, but the first 3 Uncharted games have been remastered for PS4, which are also playable on PS5.

Uncharted Drake’s Fortune is by far the best in the franchise. One of the main reasons I bought a PS3 early on was to play this game. UC1 >>> 2 >> 3 > 4

Jesus. One of the very few PS3 games I abs hated. Couldn't stand the Indy themed story / gameplay and the climbing felt so incredibly stiff and fake when coming from the PS2 era with Shadow of the Colossus... Think I stopped playing shortly after discovering a submarine, man this game was f-ing boring with repetitive gunplay.

@harryavspruce1701 amazing is a hell of a stretch. Uncharted 2…is amazing. I don’t appreciate endless tedious wave after wave of enemies in monotone bland environments.

I personally LOVE the story for this first game in the series because its so grounded in reality. No magic BS & zero aliens. I personally just prefer my videogames to be grounded in reality because then I can believe they can actually happen...but when magic or aliens are inserted into somewhat grounded games, then it just causes me to roll my eyes. Again, that's just me. The camera angles do sometimes irritate me though, as they can make the platforming unintuitive.

@@erikheijden9828 They aren't really zombies, but kinda like zombies, which is based on mummified bodies found with real world viruses & diseases. So yeah, its fantasy but it has its roots grounded in reality. Kinda like how the Last of Us features not really zombies but are zombie like but is based on a real fungus that infects insects.
