You’ve got balls of steel man. I went there two years ago and ran into a bear on the walk in, and when i got to the prison there was a squatter there who said he was ‘working for the owner’ to clean up the prison. He tried to make my friends and i pay 20 bucks to go in, which we didn’t pay. He had a dog and said ‘you can pet her but she bites’. The hallways that are completely clean are the ones that he cleared out, apparently he wanted to make it into a hotel type thing. The room with the furnace is the one where he camped out and slept.

Pro tip: Get a big can of wasp spray. They shoot in 20 foot jets, and when an animal gets an eyeful, and he is out of the fight. It doens't do permanent harm to animal. Works well for home protection, too.

It's completely foolish to do this alone and with no firearms.

I love this. It's scary as hell and I'd never do it without a decent weapon. Those coyotes weren't playing; they were hungry. Many animals come out at night to hunt, animals you might not know are even around during the day. Also, psychos and other horrible types are attracted to remote places where they feel liberated and free to do things they wouldn't get away with in more populated areas. You need to be something of a survivalist to do this.

Last year I solo kayaked 6 hrs into a remote State forrest in Victoria, Australia. As I beached my kayak I remember something feeling off about the place - dense forrest surrounded my tent on three sides with river on the fourth. I only had about 30 mins before dark but still made time to carve a spear before retreating into my tent for the night. The next morning, as I was packing up I saw dozens of large pawprints in the mud within 3 metres of my tent. Dingos had been circling my tent the through the night with some of the tracks coming right up next my tents front opening - close enough to look through the mesh. I have no idea how I slept through it but I think I got quite lucky that night. Could've ended differently.

Smart of you bringing a tent, I've seen explorers just sleep on an old bed in a house with no windows. At least in a tent you're protected a tad bit more

Years ago while studying abroad I intended to go "vampire hunting" in Transylvania during the winter and spend the night at Poenari Castle in Romania, which is the ruins of one of Dracula's castles. I first went up during the day during open hours to get my pictures, then went back after the sun went down. I had heard that it was haunted and was intent of finding out if ghosts are real. About halfway up the winding path and 1400+ steps to get to the top, I see my name written on some rocks. It was part of a 3 word message with an explanation point on the end, and written in a language that I could not identify (and I'm pretty good with that sort of thing). My name, which is VERY uncommon, has no business being written on rocks in Transylvanian woods as I'm on my way to find some ghosts, particularly not when it appears to take the form of a warning message written for my eyes only, and especially when it somehow escaped my attention when I went up earlier during daylight hours. As is typical of situations such as these, the cold temps killed what little life was left of the battery in my camera and I could not take a picture of the message. After 15 minutes of contemplation, I returned to the hotel. Days later back in Russia I ran the message through Google translate: No results, and I used every language that uses Latin characters... even the Slavic ones.

I came for camping and got an episode of Ghost Adventures 😂

Wow. The buildup. The intermittent camera work with unknown time skips. You start to recount the events after I'm thinking "that didn't seem so bad." Then I realize that was a truly real encounter that you tactically dealt with. What a hell of a story man.

When you camp someplace where wildlife may be a problem, like Coyotes, take bear spray with you. It can be used as a deterrent against Coyotes as well as bears. A noise maker like a LOUD whistle or airhorn will help as well. If you decide to do something like this again, consider using trekking poles. They can be used to help you haze the coyotes. Make yourself sound and look bigger than you are. You may have been camped out right near their den.

I lived in Sudbury for 6 years. Though I never did get the chance to visit this place. I can confirm that the military and police run training scenarios on site and on the grounds. You do not want to be caught on property while they are running these simulations. Keep up the exploring! This place is Burwash Prison, or Camp Bison.

One word: FIRE An antiqued device known as a torch (or several) probably would've shut the pursuit down in seconds. But I digress... I would've hunkered down in one of the cells to start, but holy shit, what a night! First growl and I'd panic; "Feets don't fail me now"!!! Fuq that tent zipper. Fuq that camera. My true cause to be there completely forgotten. My black ass would've STOOD UP in the tent and run in any direction screaming! I'd probably be found weeks later, lying in a field, shoeless, wearing a mangled tent. xD

This is kinda funny, I remember being out in a tent in BLM land by myself for the night, On a December and it was below freezing temperatures, And a pack of coyotes surrounded my tent too, I decided it be funny ass hell to play black metal music through a loud ass portable speaker to scare the shit out of them, It worked they never came back too my tent that night lmfao, It was striborg btw. and darkthrone.

I just had my own harrowing experience with coyotes camping in a WMA and it was nowhere near as scary as this. I can't imagine what this must have been like.

Never had any problems with coyotes, had a pack of them come up on me sleeping in a sleeping bag in the open one night at about 1 or 2 in the morning. They just sniffed me, when I woke up it startled them and they just ran circles around me 10 or so yards off in the high grass. They ran off when I fired a round from my shotgun into the air. I built my fire back up didn't sleep the rest of the night lol. I live in Texas btw.

I really enjoyed this video! Having said that, there was no need to fabricate events. The can that drops out of nowhere 18:11, after a suspicious wiggle of the camera before (indicating you threw said can) only serves for a jump scare but at the same time makes the rest of the events in the video suspicious. Looking back at the coyotes howls the first one sounds believable as you can hear a distinctive echo similar to the echoes you made as you walked through the corridors while speaking however the coyote howl at 29:15 had no echo and sounded very strange, as if added in post. Because of this it is now very hard to trust that you haven't fabricated more in the video or even the whole coyote attack itself. We never saw any indication of any coyote being around other than sound and that one moment the tent gets pushed conveniently in frame of the camera. All this distrust in what was a really interesting and exciting video all because you threw a can for added effect. I'm hopeful in future videos you trust in the excitement and interest already inherent with the location and your commentary, rather than tarnishing the overall experience by throwing a can and pretending it frightened you.
