Percy and Annabeth should not have been in the seven they literally feature in every thing it has destroyed there character's by over using them

@@Unclaimeddemigod I'm not sure if you're still looking for unpopular opinions to react to, but I have one. I really dislike the fandom's portrayal of Jason and Percy as "bros" and the closest of all friends. First of all, they barely know eachother during the quest, like you said, it takes place over a literal month. They are aquaintences at most throughout the series. Given time, they could become close friends, but never that "best friend" relationship the fandom shows. Secondly, this practically diminishes Grover and Percy's friendship that has been developed over the course of literal years. I would've loved to see Percy and Grover meeting after the events of HOO, it probably would've touched me more than Leo going back to get Calypso tbh (I kinda ship Caleo, but I find friendship 10× more important than romance.)

Might be long but... um... the book series was not only kinda flat but had bad pacing. Gaia was spoken to sleep🤭 Piper and Jason shouldn’t have happened they were not romantically suited. Leo also shouldn’t have had a partner it was so rushed and he attacked Percy outta nowhere for not freeing Calypso and it’s a big mess. Frank and hazel faded out to occasional help their storylines and POV cannon fodder Percy and Annabeth .... I love em I do but not HoO them. I’ll leave THAT as that. Gaia was such a WEAK antagonist so were the giants and Pasiphaë. I would’ve loved to have seen Drew Tanaka instead of piper a “typical Aphrodite girl” that somehow smashes stereotypes has a redemption arc and isn’t piper’s Mary-Sueish, “I’m not like other girls” _thing_ Jason’s character was well also flat tbh for all of themystery” surrounding him in the lost hero we barely had a decent Thalia-Jason reunion and he was like as Leo said blonde superman except he was perfect and it was hard to root for him bcos his backstory was flimsy and accomplishments despite being cool weren’t anything to Percy who faded away in the background.....😬 And I hated piper’s POV mainly bcos it was focused on Jason * everyone: hurt dying or sad * Piper: Jason! U have a cut!!! Have all the nectar and ambrosia!! Also the fandom pushes them as a group too much they spent a month together and yes under stress ... binding but we didn’t rly see that Thankyou for coming to my impromptu (unfinished I have ISSUES WITH THIS SERIES) Ted talk i do love it’s premise tho but it kind of soured my undying joy for the Riordan verse cos Gaia.... PRIMORDIAL!!.... piper... untrained known she was a Demi for one month ... says SLEEP and that’s that! NO😡

The Lost Hero is really good! I love the trio of Jason Piper and Leo, and the whole mystery of what happened to Percy and where Jason came from is really interesting!

In Hoo, the seven sometimes have less chemistry than arch enemies. It's as if they've chucked 7 strangers into a room and told them to win a war

@@Unclaimeddemigod Even in scenes that are supposed to help chemistry, like when Jason saved Percy from Polybotes, it seemed forced all the way

I mean, to be fair, Reyna explained herself that she thought basically any guy she came across she could see something with. A lot of people with insecurity in their romantic life do this - crush on multiple people, I mean. Even Octavian, remember. Rachel and Percy spent a lot of time together, made sense. Calypso is literally cursed to fall for anyone who lands on her island. Percy is attractive and the Amazons like to dominate men, I was not shook at all. Nico was young and obsessed with mythomagic when he met literally his dream come true - the crush was very much expected. But yeah it's a fair amount of people but consider how many people fall in crush with celebrities, artists, and people they see online and have never met. People crushing is so genuinely common that it just doesn't shock me that someone who is good looking, funny, and carries himself well got a few crushes over the course of five years.

I definetely would have loved to see Piper and Percy being best friends. I think Leo and Annabeth could have a great friendshipand could have created a lot of thing as a team.

Blood of Olympus wasn’t as bad as people say. the 7 side of things wasn’t great. But the nico/Reyna was great.

FRANK IS OLDER THAN JASON. I just realised this, frank turns sixteen just before the son of Neptune and Jason turns sixteen in the mark of Athena, making frank older. I don’t know why but I just realised this. I don’t know why but I always thought frank was younger but thinking back I realised this.

Unpopular opinion: During The Lost Hero, everybody was complaining that there was no Percy. Personally, I was more upset that we didn't get to see Nico.

A lot of the male main characters have dark hair and blue/green eyes because dark hair is Perceived as mysterious and with dark hair lighter eyes (blue/green) stand out more

I liked this video. Quick note - you don't think Thalia is feminine? I think the purpose of the hunters of artimis is to be an independent woman, and thalia definitly does makeup - she is always described with eyeliner (I could be wrong, its been a while since I read pjo, but I did just reread hoo) also, Reyna is an important female character as well. I am not trying to criticize your opinion, I think it is valid and there isn't very much femininity (is that the word?) But there is a little bit, and it should be mentioned. Your video was great and I loved hearing your opinions about other opinions!

I think the reason people fall in love with Percy or at least have a crush on him Is simple: Athletic, Tan, Muscular dark haired guy who fights monsters, has a good sense of humor, and is generally caring. I would fall in love with a guy like that and I am a straight dude.

Ok I have to tell you this because it starts to be annoying. PERCY WEREN'T MISSING FOR A YEAR. It was like 7 months because when Jason wakes up in a bus (the Lost Hero) i don't remember which month was that but i know it's WINTER and Annabeth tells them that percy disappeared 3 days earlier. Also we know that the action of Son of Neptun happens in June and the Greek squad arrived at camp Jupiter at the end of this book so it's still JUNE. And if we know all this facts we also know that Percy and Annabeth didn't see each other for around 7 months. Anyway still great video and love you ❤ but you are saying that it was a year in literally every video so had to write this

You know, for me, I didn't hate Rachel that much. Instead, In Battle of Labyrinth, I didn't like Annabeth's attitude towards Percy. And that made the book not my favorite. I get Annabeth was jealous but I didn't like that attitude. Nice vid! PS: I love Annabeth though

Same Out of the entire PJO series, BotL was my least favorite She was being really rude(I didn't realize it at the time) and the awkwardness was too much for me.

I know right ? People kept complaining about Rachel when Percy had every right to consider her over Annabeth, who was absolutely awful in BotL. She was borderline racist (lol), calling Rachel "mortal" as if that meant lesser than a demigod and/or incompetent. She absolutely sucked.

I just imagine percy and reyna being very good friends as reyna needs someone who can take out of her duty, being serious... and percy would actually learn so much from her, they are competitive and they both respect each other's personality ... if percy would have stayed in cj like for 6 months I think percy and reyna would have been great !!! But we don't get that 😢

I feel like Leo and Hazel had a nice friendship. I mean, yeah obviously it started a little weird but it actually developed kinda sweetly. Something to bear in mind is that Piper and Leo had more time together and Piper and Leo both had more feeling for Jason than they might have otherwise because of the false memories. I dunno. I don't take time as seriously in the book as I would in real life because if you've ever been in a traumatic situation with someone you don't know well in real life, you get close fast. It's a different kind of bond. On the Calypso thing - you have to remember that her curse was to "fall in love with whoever lands on her island" basically. It's not a representation of real life because, well, we don't have curses in real life, lol.

Basically the Seven is this: There's a Roman with his Greek girlfriend and Greek best friend There's a Greek with his two Roman best friends And then there's Annabeth who just kind of gets along with everyone

For the friendships, there actually a bunch shown, and told: - Leo & Hazel - Leo & piper - Leo & Jason - Piper & Annabeth - Piper & Hazel - Jason & Percy - frank & percy - Percy and hazel(at least in Son of neptune)

Ok what I’m about to say is not relevant to the video. People always say that The lightning thief takes place in 2005 but I think it actually takes place in 2006. Ok so yes I know that The lightning thief was published in 2005 but I think it took place in 2006. Ok here’s the evidence, If it took place in 2005 that would mean the sea of monsters took place in 2006, the Titans curse would be in winter of 2006, battle of the labyrinth in 2007 and the last Olympian in 2008. But here’s the problem in BotL it has references to thing that’s happened in 2008 so it’s impossible for it to take place in 2007. If you make the TLT in 2006 that would clean up the problems. Ok I’m done ✅

Yeah, but Percy was born in 1993, which would technically make him twelve and in 6th grade in 2005, and by the start of Lightning Thief, if it were 2006, he would already be 13. But this is a good theory and it makes since

@@larkisalive9819 Percy has just finished 6 grade and is 12 years old in June(I think I don’t know when Americans finish a grade) His birthday is august 18th, he turns 13 at the end/after the book. He is coming up on his 13th birthday. I can’t find anything and can give me a direct answer as I find things that say 2005 and some that say 2006. Personally I think 2006 as if then make it’s so there isn’t a big plot hole. But it’s ok if you choose to believe that it takes place in 2005. We will probably never get a confirmed year, to my knowledge Rick hasn’t said why year the books take place.

Unpopular opinion I love hero’s of Olympus and percabeth frazel and jasper I love and hate piper I love piper because I can kind of relate to her but I hate her because like people would be in danger she would be like I need to save Jason like in MOA when the elidoins are possessing Jason Leo and Percy she thinks I have to save Jason like who cares if Leo and Percy are possessed I have to save Jason Bianca gets way to much hate like I cryied at her death Luke is not a hero!.

@@Leila-ni3xz It’s true that she left Nico for the Hunters, but she was a twelve year old who had to act like a mom for her little brother, I would’ve done the same thing, but everyone overlooks that she sacrificed herself for everyone. Plus, Zoë wanted her to go on the quest (no hate to Zoë, I love her character)

@@gc-qh7rr As someone whose had to watch my own little brother for years, even before the age of 12, I wouldn't of made the same decision Bianca did. She wasn't even trained when she joined the Hunters and went on the quest so, overall I didn't fully understand the logic of joining with absolutely no training. I don't hate Bianca, I just dislike her decisions. Even if Nico wasn't a factor for her to stay, the lack of training should have been. She wouldn't of had to give her life to safe everyone had she listened to the warning about that junkyard. I've never had a strong opinion on Bianca specifically because we never ACTUALLY got to know her that well. I do have a lot to say about her actions but, not her as a character.

Also, I wish I saw this when you first posted the video, and I'm not trying to be mean, but you're wrong about Hank and Frazel. They're only a year and 6 months apart in age, fairly sure. Frank was 15 about to turn 16 when he went to camp Jupiter and met Hazel when she was 14 and a half. They actually had more time together than what's been credited to them, and I think their falling in crush made more sense than some others. When you spend time with someone, especially in a traumatic sense and especially in a group, humans typically gravitate. It's normal, and let's not pretend there weren't friend groups going through the awkward "oh now they're together" thing all the time in HS. 🥴 I don't disagree that more platonic relationships would be fine, but if we really pay attention, there's a pretty clear reason why every relationship happened the way they did. Especially Leo and Calypso. It was made pretty certain how badly Leo wanted someone as his attractions were well read with multiple women, and then he crashed on the island of Calypso, who is cursed to fall for whoever lands there. Then she takes care of him, feeds him, helps him escape back to his friends - I was not at all shocked that he enjoyed her. She was made immortal, is stunningly beautiful per the books desc, and nurtured him even if for a short time.
