This song has been my go to with my ups and downs on my sobriety. Now here I am 1 year and 3 months sober from heroin. No subs, methadone or rehab. I got my family back together, a home and 2 vehicles. Never thought in my life I’d get where I am today. God is good. Anyone struggling with sobriety don’t be afraid to reach out. Honestly help is there. Biggest suggestion is change who you surround yourself with. Much love to everyone

Guys stop fighting about what the song is about. Uncle Kracker said in an MTV interview, "It takes on a couple of different meanings. I've heard some people think that I'm talking about drugs, or some people think I'm talking about cheating. I guess it's kinda both. I would never want to say anything that would get myself in trouble, being married with a couple of kids. That song is like a dirty picture painted with a pretty brush."

I wish my brother would believe that. I thought he hit rock bottom a couple of years ago but I guess he's got a little farther to fall. I've made dozens of offers to get him help. Then he went and did something he knew he'd get caught doing and knew he'd likely end up in prison for. Not sure if he wanted to get locked up or what. I should've forced rehab on him when I had the chance.

My Grandpa died 4 Months ago (June 4th). Every week before he passed away I would go to check on him in the hospital. He always had CNN or ABC Family on his Tv. There was a movie that featured this song on ABC Family, I don't actually know the name of the movie. I looked over at him and he was smiling, that was the last time I ever saw him smile. At the funeral and wake I was in charge of the music, for the occasion I wanted to not think of how he's gone and will never come back. I thought of it as just another step of life and to remember all the good things he's done such as, he served in world war 2. Back on to the music. I choose to place some casual music played at wake and at the funeral before we put the body in the hearse, I played this song and I was In tears. At the funeral In the cemetery we had current navy seals march along the cemetery. Thanks for this song "Uncle Kracker." Info: Rank in WW2, Private.

Only watched this for the first time last year. Great film teaching kids how to deal with lose in a positive way. The strange thing is I watched this with my mom never even knew it existed. Then about 6-8 months later sat watching it again with her while holding her hand while she was ill in hospital. She passed away 4 weeks ago and this film just reminds me of her and how much she loved me and how much I love her ❤

I ment to say 5months later to the day in Nov.the 12th I lost my son a Joshua I'm 55 and totally alone other then ex wife and my #1 Junior the blue but blk&white pitty I'm gonna ditch the house and get a new camper cause at 55 I thght the same looking at my reflection. And when you mentioned your life and situation I thought of an old acquaintance Jack he had a girl for 7 or 8 yrs Her name was Heather she could barely walk 🚶♂️ 😳 she would go out with us and bartender would say 'Can't ser v e her she's so drunk can barely walk almost always so Jack found her , her own brthlizr equip, did the trick .She was so beautiful inside & out. Which made her vulnerable as it wear Jack started to heat her senseless with words. He may as well of beat her ass . So one time he was gone outta town she lost her whole bottle of pain meds she called me to help her find some cause she said if I don't figure it out He'll lock me up she was extremely upset and scared I was able to fix it I'll never forget the look on her face grateful doesn't gv just, until the bear hug friendly and extremely appreciative to me it was much much more . I thought wow 👌 he'll ruin this never ever could I have predicted 🤔 she didn't die dont worry he came home she had her meds.but took a bunch of Zanex because I got there sparing only minutes felt great to help her in her direstraits she was messed up and still scared over 2 pills it was a $$ thing for him well he had a race boat backed up to front pic
