Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are not a same building. They are close to each other but while Blue Mosque was build in 1616, Hagia Sophia was build in 360 AD.

OK Sava escaped life of royalty being a Prince to become a monk. He was buried in South West Serbian Monastery Mileseva, the one with World famous fresco of White Angel. Turks burned his bones on the hill where temple is to stop his legend spreading. They only achieved opposite.

Saint Sava church isn't a replica of Hagia Sofia (btw Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque are not the same building). It was built in the same style. But, nevertheless, thumbs up.

It's a mosaic in gold. Masterpiece of Russian artist Nikolai Muhin. Mosaic contains around 50 million pieces, it weights 320 tons , 15,000 square metters, 300 artists were working on it, and 300 labour workers. It took them 4 years to complete mosaic only. Hope this helps

It is not a replica of Hagia Sophia, it's on it's own, since 1938, when building started, lots of designs changed, WW2 and regime changes interrupted possibilities and funds what to build. It has been building for nearly 100 years, and still is, not to mimic, but to outstand. Lots of it was supported by Russian Federation recently. Since Hagias Sophia turned mosque and later museum, St. Sava church stands one of three largest Orthodox temples, along with Chist Saviour in Moscow and Alexandar Nevsky in Sophia. Ottomans/Turks brought St. Sava Nemanjic's bones from Kosovo to this place and burned them on this spot, that's why it is holy and Romea/Byzant was not so friendly in those days, and neither today. It took 8 centuries to get this temple as far as it is now, with undying faith and contributions from people and state. So, don't confuse it with Hagia Sophia, that is barren of faith for too long, this is an authentic Serbian temple, and just in Belgrade you can find dozens of divers-styled Orthodox churches, in Serbia - hundreds, and just in Kosovo and Metohija over 1100 (if they are not burned or desecrated by Albanians).

St. Sava is not the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The SPC was formed in the middle of the 1st century by St. Peter in Sremska Mitrovica, then Sirmium. In the 12th century, Serbia was a multi-confessional state, crown prince Sava Nemanjic erased all religions and introduced Orthodoxy as the state religion. If you are there for a while, you could visit Sremska Mitrovica, which was the real capital of the Roman Empire for 2 centuries.
