What i like about the forst Crash game is that it doesnt tell you the lore directly, but with its environments. I see Crash as a game that tells its story with its enviorments.

Minor correction: "Elemental Masks are from Wrath Of Cortex" Anyway, Cortex's story goes ever further than that. He certainly was said to come from a family where they were "performers". A freak show. Clowns. Cortex himself with that giant head, pop on the red nose and boom! A clown. Cortex hated that with every fiber of his being, and in order to escape this freak show, he deviced an "accident" to game over his entire family. Seems like his niece Nina Cortex, must have been in Acadamy Of Evil at the time or something. I dunno the details on her. Cortex's shortsightedness is what got his ties with Dr.Nitrus Brio (his co-worker) completely cut off. Evolvo ray is Brio's invention, while Cortex claimed it for his own and its what angered Brio. He returns in Crash 4 Its about time simply because he could use Cortex's experiments for his own good and nothing else. It was a selfish gain similarily how Cortex used his invention for his own gain. Regardless, Crash Bash always intrigued me. Aku Aku have spoke about some "ancients" in the intro cutscene. Basically in short, Uka Uka wanted to settle their argument between the two once and for all and wanted to throw hands (wait what?). But Aku Aku says: "No Uka Uka! The ancients would NOT allow this. There cannot be fight between us." Which makes you wonder... Who are those ANCIENTS?! Given the info in this video, if I have to take a shot in the dark... Its the ancient civilization and people that used to live in those times. Maybe there are "powers" way above those of Magical Masks. Hence why Time Bending Reality masks appeared in Crash 4 Its about time, when the balance of the world is disrupted. Same thing would have happened when Aku Aku and Uka Uka would fight between one another. It most likely be another anomaly in the balance of this world. However, of course, its all speculation at this point. EDIT: Ah! I forgot. Furthermore, the cortex's hatred towards his past made his hate clowns. You can see an interesting piece of detail in Crash Nitro Kart where Cortex interacts with "Norm". (Both Big Norm and Small Norm) After when Cortex Team beats both Norms, he doesnt want to interact with Big Norm at all and calls him a clown. N.gin corrects him that he is actually a mime, but that makes Cortex even more mad and starts to trash talk a bit, while Big Norm points out his big head and stupid springy hear like a clown. Also, in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, cortex even got a Clown Skin when Neon Cicrus Grand Prix Happened.

@@DandanaSquidz Np. Believe me, I didnt know Cortex's backstory either until one of my (used to be now) discord friends mentioned it. And I simply piece the rest together as I was replaying the franchise bit by bit myself. I love little details like this especially when you discover them decade later. ;)

3:27 Crash is sounding like they took rockets backstory form the MCU/Marvel comics (I'm not properly versed in this) but seems pretty close to the gotg3 (rockets story/background)
