This is my second Magic bullet, and I have to admit that for the price it delivers really well kzfaq.infoUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq Considering that there are other products twice and even four times more expensive, I think that for one person this is just right. The only problem is that you have to make sure that your vegetables and ice are cut into small pieces because it won't chop and blend well. I made the mistake of putting whole baby carrots with a cup of mixed greens, and it wasn't pretty.. Also be careful not to overfill it, because it will overflow. As long as you follow the manufacturer's instructions for use, you should be happy with this purchase.

Kind-of a weird test Joe, since Nutribullet states that the machine is intended to be used with the addition of a liquid, and not dry, so smoothies are its forte. And the machine's job is to pulverize and blend, so if the smoothie comes out too runny, that's down to an inappropriate selection of ingredient quantities (specifically the water in your case) and not the fault of the machine - I was surprised that you blamed it. I just upgraded to a 900 W pro after my 600 W Nutribullet died after 8 years' constant use. I can honestly say that I small nubs protruding below the screw-on rings are a total non-issue. I never noticed them until you pointed them out in your video.
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal 11 ай бұрын
Good to know the notches are really an an issue. I didn't think they would be, but was curious. For the smoothies being a little runny, I did mention at the end of the video that all you needed to do was use a little less liquid in there and it would be totally fine and a non-issue though. On the dry stuff, I agree with you. I kind of messed up there a little. I wanted to show that it can actually do that stuff too, even though it's not intended for that because frankly, it did all that stuff really great.... But I should have mentioned that it isn't intended for that kind of stuff out of the box. I meant to say that, and just straight-up forgot to. I did notice that they also have a milling blade that you can buy for it on their website for $15 that IS designed for all that dry stuff, so with that, probably an even better result. I appreciate your in, Jackem! Thanks for helping keep me in line! Lol

@@chilepleasestop9118 No - the blades remain effective - they're not that sharp to start with anyway. However, over the years, the bearings in the cups tended to fail, so I replaced them (KZfaq videos show you how, if you like this sort of tinkering. If not, just replace the cups.)

Adding the oil to the nuts from the beginning, you make it more difficult to have a nice and smooth butter cos the nuts will stick on the surface of the cup due to the added oil. Nuts let off their own oils when blended. So first blend the nuts until paste and then add some oil if needed. Blend for a couple of seconds more and you're good to go!!

I don't know about that. I tried that and after a few seconds everything was sticking to the bowl and I had to scrape multiple times and was getting nowhere. Adding oil to the nuts improved the sticking problem. You're not supposed to have to add oil at all, but I guess you need a more powerful blender for that to work.

I highly recommend on the 1000 over the 900. I bought the 900 new and the 1000 I got second hand 5 year old. Let’s start with the much more robust built of the 1000 over the 900. I had the 900 for almost a year and it’s start stretching and the cups pins all the time end under the whit clips doesn’t matter which cup I used. The 1000 I use now for almost a year with no issue. The 1000 will stop automatically after 1 minute. The 1000 have a suction feet that stop it from spinning when in use and the 900 feet will not. I recommend to use the extractor blade over the sharper cross blade it is much more quiet. Spent a little more money and enjoy better product longer life. Good work making this video 👍🏻

With cleaning the nutribullet, I thought that hot water wasn’t supposed to be used or can the nutribullet blend hot soup etc too? And what kind of oil do you use for the nutribullet butter? Thanks a bunch!
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal 2 ай бұрын
I like to use avocado oil for most of my stuff, but coconut tastes really good in not butters also. For the hot liquids, you can clean it in hot, but it hot tap water which really isn't all that hot. What they mean about hot liquids it more like blending stuff that just got microwaved or is coming hot off the stove or something. The plastic isn't rated to handle that kind of heat.... The soup too, unless you let it cool a while, but that wrecks the whole point of soup

I tried to make cashew butter and it turned out well, but I had a big problem with it sticking to the sides of the food processor. I added a bit of oil and it helped a little bit, but I started wondering if spraying an oil on the sides of the bowl would help to keep the nut butter from sticking to the sides. Has anyone tried that?
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
Haven't tried that.... another thing you can try is leaving out the oil all together, and when you blend the cashews, just sort of run the machine in 2 or 3 second pulses.... That will break the nuts up slowly and keep them from heating up too much.... You might be able to just pulse your way all the way to the finished butter. Also, it works better if you are using a larger amount of nuts. That way the stuff being processed has more contents there to interact with.

Yeah.. Sticking is a real thing... The oil usually helps with that a little. I do my butters in my ninja power blender. One of the single serve cups as a built in tamper that you spin with a dial. Corn starch needs to simmer for 10 minutes to remove the starch taste. Flour needs to go for 20 minutes. Also, you need a more course grind for the pepper. You lose less of the pepper flavor. My issue with these pots is that they brown the meat without breaking all the cartilaginous tissue down, so it tends to be not as tender as a slow roast in a conventional oven.
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips! I agree with ya on the conventional oven, definitely... It's just not enough time to get it really tender... Still comes out nice if ya don't have the time. I mentioned that right at the end, but in retrospect, I should have mentioned that earlier when I was in the middle of the test... or at least edit the video in such a way that those comments were moved back. Heya... I used the same measurements I use on all the blender tests we do for smoothies. It's 1 1/4 cups, but looking back at that video, you're right! It looks like an ocean in there. haha. The Nutribullet has a much more narrow cup than a lot of machines, so the water level looked a bit higher than on most. Also, at the end of the video we did mention that it made great smoothies and we just used less water in there and it was great. Nutribullet also makes a differen't blade you can get from their store that works better on frozen fruits (it's a little sharper), which produces an even nicer result.

Yes, of course the thickness of a smoothie correlate’s directly to the product/water ratio and yours was a fail. A more compact machine like this one, doesn’t call for a river of water where a smaller amount would suffice.
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal 7 ай бұрын
@2323msg agreed... Originally used the same ratios from the last personal sized blender we did. Different results between the two. I did mention at the end that I redid it with some adjustments and it came out nice though. However, I should have just mentioned that right after instead of throwing it in at the end.

Nice blender, but a little thin on features for that amount of money. Subjective to peoples personal preferences though.

why would you put so much liquid in the smoothy and then blame the blender for it being runny? lmao
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal Ай бұрын
I used the exact same measurements I use for all the other blenders that I've done stuff inx but all of those are much higher speed so they tend to qhip and thicken a lot more. I mentioned at the end of the video that I just adjusted the liquid and it came out really nice, but in retrospect, I should have put that part in right after the smoothie blending so it wouldn't get missed. Sorry about that.

Not sure about that... but I would think that you'd want a little more power to handle something as hard as those.
