@@DanielSong39 That era ( 1990- 2005) is shrouded in mystery as EPO was rife. A huge number of athletes and cyclists were doing it. Unless Ingebrigtsen has found new tactics, at least we know he's clean 👍

Not a chance. He could wind the pace up better than anyone but he certainly didn't have the kick that an Ovett or a Coe did. Nowhere near!!! A "KICK" is a sudden change of pace normally reserved for the last 100, 150 of a race. Morceli ran more like an El Guerrrouj who would wind up the pace from 400/600 metres and try and nullify the kick of his opponent like Cacho.

@@KryptonitetoallBS the kick in 1500m race is 400 meters so yes Morceli still has the best kick in the 1500m...he's untouchable at his prime

@@salahboulemden9259 No it's not. Morceli was an amazing athlete but his style that he made famous was by winding up the pace gradually from 400 or 600 out. What that did was take away the "kick" that his opponents may have had. It seems like you do NOT understand the difference! A "KICK" is an instant change of pace that is electrifying. The best that I can think of who could do that was Ovett and Coe. There may be others who could do that but they don't spring to mind atm. Maybe Yifter the shifter and there was an Irish athlete in the 1980's called Eamonn Coughlan who had a great kick.

@@salahboulemden9259 Traditionally when commentators talk about a "KICK" it's when an athlete delivers a kick that takes him/her away from the field in an instant, NOT consistently over a longer period of time. So Morceli may kick with 300, 400 or 500 to go but it takes him away from the field "GRADUALLY" over metres and metres, NOT as Coe/Ovett did when they destroyed a field in a matter of seconds. You may change the understanding in athletics for a "KICK" but that doesn't mean you are right. Sorry 👍

Mo was a 500om and 10k runner, not a 1500m runner. But Mo wasn't fast.
