Love this video of your opinion on if it's p2w or not and I agree with you on the points and perspectives (also the starting to play Undawn really makes you feel like Kirito is possible almost lol) The game does need spenders but.. the scaling even with spending is a bit funky for lack of better words, so even "whales" will get bored when they're playing a friend based game and none of their "friends" can stick around unless they're also "whales" and even then there is a limit to how much they will actually spend for a chance at getting a chip for their shirt that will last their current level. I wanted to see the limitations as a f2p player myself before deciding to spend money in the game (with respects to the devs I do prefer to spend on fair games rather and just not play the other lol...) it's been really awesome and fun seeing how you can essentially unlock all items and earn all items depending on the grind which I was really impressed with and there really is so much in this game it's crazy awesome. Reaching level 56 there is a very clear difference between f2p and p2w as my equipment and items are all needing blueprints etc to level up>_< and the chances of getting those legendary items crafted by yourself is a pain point with "rare metal" and no clear way of obtaining them does really really highlight how they want you to actually pay to be a higher level player almost (I shudder at the thought of "legendary metal") I didn't even bother looking further with the chips you can fit on your equipment because it took me to a gacha in the store and a trading spot like someone who has bought it has to sell it for you to get... like bruh.. lol that's just blatant p2w>_< but apart from the disappointments there is a lot more to the game than just competitiveness as a casual player you would enjoy it a lot and they'll notice the bottle neck of players dropping off eventually (hopefully, not so much time played as much as levels reached because it's up to the player for their progression speed etc) They're really going to battle to keep a balance with the mobs and PvE events even in the higher levels if they can't make it more even between the player base for how to obtain items to get or level up equipment but with the current mechanics and the scaling of items in the game and equipment "improvements", I don't see many f2p players sticking around past level 70 or 80 at most unless they play for a very long time, but even then the xp gained will just make you level 80 with level 60 (if you're lucky) equipment ratings, you'll maybe be able to do level 70 PvE missions (and p2w players will feel like it's too easy still since they have the best of the best already or just not level up till they have the next level best items ready for them - probably not all but that's how I'd wing it) I think this is one of the more "fair" games out there but has some concerning issues which I'm sticking around for now to see how it goes XD

The game is fun on our server, but the highest ranked camp ruins it for everybody. It mostly consists of spenders that are very toxic, but some of them really shows you that skills do matter as some of them even with higher ratings still loses to lower rated players.

tbh, undawn is a fun game, but the p2w monetization is really killing the fun for me. I knew it was a pay-to-win game when I got into it, but I didn't expect it to be this heavily p2w. after waiting for over 4 years for its release, I must say I am disappointed. however, I can't deny that undawn is still a fun game.

As a F2P im currently at Rank 17 in our camp in terms of Rating. I accepted that I will suck at PVP event. But I'm still enjoying PVE events because I'm always in top 3.

Cosmetics only are for cosmetics (they do add up charisma pts which doesn't affect your ratings) I think the elemental cores are the only advantage p2w can get by purchasing money. Everything else is achieve-able. The only thing is that your progress will be slower. And p2w will outrate you with faster ups. You will hit a wall 1. Rare metals and such will limit your crafting experience 2. You can't farm for too long (xp limit for roles, refinement chance limit and xp limit itself) 3. The most active time the game will be is always around 7:30pm to 9pm and the time when dailies are reset because camp activities are tied with the time 4. Chips and such are near impossible if you will only spend a month in the game And also the pvp aspect of the game is really harsh to f2p. They could change it so that damage and everything should have a standard and not scale based on your eq. A good example where skills only mattered is the survival island challenge.

I can say that its true about a few free2play players can outclass a pay2win player. I myself have carried higher level players from other servers (being at the time) while our server level cap being level 55 and the player from another server being level 56 with a higher rating. In King's station we once had a player that has a higher raven emblem but died at the boss fight and I got to carry them with the highest damage. So yes those hard efforts you do daily can pay off later down the line. Keep at it and you won't regret seeing how strong you will be.

My PVP activities are kept at the minimun daily to get medals to buy the Raven title upgrade... for the rest, I just enjoy the game daily activities within the camp and the PVE with other players... I like to explore the different maps, do the side missions and meet with other players... in short, I do what I can and so far I am enjoying the game eccept for the bugs and problems the game give me every day, a friend told me, that it's due to the fact that I play the game from Steam... and that's why I constantly get the message about my internet connection but, I think it's the game that have some issues, I hope that who is in charge will fix this problems soon because it's very, very annoying having the game interrupted by those notifications... if they fix this problem, I think I will keep enjoy the game for a long time... As a F2P on a level 59 server cap I believe that the game is not completely P2W. Paying players may have better stats but that really only helps in PVP where stats from enhancements to modifiers matter. The paying players buy the best weapons with gold however someone had to have made those weapons. Weapons are crafted with materials that players gather. As long you know the meta whether someone is F2P or a paying player they can sell the materials used to craft the weapons to get lots of gold. The gold then can be used to buy better gear. Also PVP is only a small part when compared to the whole game where PVE is the focus. The game itself is a gathering game where you go to different places gathering resources to use on items or quests. Roles such as logger or miner can only be leveled up by chopping trees or doing other gathering types. Paying players may be able to do it faster but every game with the slightest bit of transactions are like that. Almost every part of the game can be available to F2P players (except PVP like pinnacle eliminator and ravens inventional) since the game allows players to play with friends and people from your camp. So I believe that paying money is only really good for PVP that isn’t the biggest part of the game. Also even players with the best weapons and armor may not be good at PVP that requires teamwork since it would still not be easy to 1v4 people that have good teamwork or better aim. Lastly people worry too much about PVP when they joined the game for the PVE against zombies and other npcs not PVP. PVP is basically just a tactic to make the paying players spend more money by making them fight each other for the top ranking. It also doesn’t really change much of the PVE too much besides that 10 extra damage from titles on top of the excessive 800 damage they already have 😒

It’s absolutely not worth the time investment…. One thing I notice is, people aren’t having fun. (according to the discord) But I will say, until better alternatives come out (new games) it’s better than what out on the market… if you’re personally enjoying it; keep playing, alternatively, if you find yourself second guessing … better to drop while you’re ahead and save yourself the time. They’ll always be games , and games are supposed to be fun// so have fun! :)

actually a good camp is a mixture of spenders and f2p. because if you have a camp consisting of all p2w then it will be chaotic on officer positions. the only con for this is there are some contents that favors p2w. however it is still really fun

when it comes to skill points. there are so many useless skills there so you can still catch up. however the problem is the camp training. all of the extra stats there are very useful and you can only buy camp points with rc

Undawn IS pay to win, because there's even a gacha system. Just look at the rating gap between pure free-to-play players and a pay-to-win playes. The F2Ps can't even get to HALF of the P2W players. Not to mention the unfair matching in Training Match and Aero Battle. The P2W system is already disgusting enough as it is.

there's a lot better games than this, you just have to pay like 20-100 bucks to play it, your grind and time investment is actually worth a lot. I'm actually laughing at myself right now for playing this game, but a family member and some loved ones are playing this game, that's why i'm playing it too. It's a common knowledge that the leaderboards in this type of games are filled with rich losers in other games to make themselves feel better and actually being on top while having no skills. I don't think so tho, at least not all of them, i think some people just really enjoy this game, i mean i enjoy it a bit when me, my gf and my brother are doing something like dailies and weekly. In short, if you're a solo f2p, just run mate, run fast and don't look back. P.s I've actually spent a bit now, for an outfit, of course. It's a bad move, i admit, so don't do what i did, keep your hard earned money unless you're actually enjoying.

had to compare LifeAfter as its relatively same as undawn... absolutely it is a P2W game however its not bad as LA p2w ratio thats only the advantage here also in LA there are areas in Special Ops where you have to use the gacha weapon to go pass it means in LA's a part of pve content is locked behind pay wall , honestly if i say i 100% agree both are like fking same :/ this one is less p2w then LA thats for sure, also no 1 man kills the whole camp in sec's stuff here in Undawn also No healing drone spams , also i personally tested the PvE part of undawn with just green gears in beta test and without using any in game money they provided i whole goal was to see how is the F2P experience in Undawn is , as im finally playing it i can tell that PvE part as of the game is not locked behind pay wall however it does not means you will be extremely Op in PvE , again its a demn p2w game so you wont be but you will be good enough to complete it without much of hustle , now for pvp part , sad but yes pvp is p2w in UnDawn means , lets say example someone spend around 1k$ to get well upgraded , as you f2p without spending a single $ you will not be able to 1v1 him because simply the person will deal why high dmg on you before u can do the same amount of dmg . here my personal thoughts and tips = if you already in high lvl and able to keep up with lvls in LA i personally suggest not to play Undawn. next about PvE i perosonally can 100% say u will do just fine in Undawns PvE part with just blue gears , about grind , Yes there is grind but if you do the weather events you dont really have to grind at all the day i found out about those events i never grinded at all just do events and bring a ton of mats that worth of 2-3hours of grind in 2 min . ((those events are = Blood Moon , Rust Rain , Radiation Particles)) i never touched a single tree 's , stone's , and fibers at all about PvP one more thing as tip how to deal with p2w player , wait for everyone to group up and all shoot at once at him and 100% he will be dead in no time for 1 p2w person you at least need 2 f2p players i personally sitting in 22k Rating , Level 59 with a decent overall stats and 600k+ gold with 20 epic chips almost there to get a full chip without spending a single $ (cuz i cant even buy anything xD cuz pc version is US based and banned in my region XDDD) [DONT LOOK FOR MY ENGLISH ERRORS its not my first language so please :...]

One polish tip :- Earn and buy Set a target 1000 gold coins perday buy opening your trading market. You can buy 1 polish material box every 3days for 3000 gold coins and 2 boxes per week for 6000 gold coins. Like this 20 polish materials every week.

gold weapons make the game wayy easier sadly the best ive gotten is purple from crafting or buying in the trade shop. Getting gold is pretty easy from the trade shop just farm and sell.

im fully f2p I started 2 weeks after my server started. True is Undawn is P2W no doubt, but you really need to be like the best on pvp? the truth is no. Im on gold right now and I get good matches and bad matches, but I got no shot if I wanted to be like on top. So yeah it sucks for a f2p tryhard that want to be the best of the world and plays 10 hours a day. But reallity is the devs didnt made the game for that player. PvE content is good, raids and dungeons need to be polished but its going on a good way, crafting and trading is fair if you know what you are doing. For me the real problem with this game and new people leaving is that the menu and the game at the start in general feels so overwhelmed

To be fair, I'm okay with the monetization as long as the f2p players aren't forced into world pvping with Whales like in Black Desert Online and Perfect World Online. What I hate most is being decent with my progression in the game only to get steamrolled by a random whale in the open world.

I'm F2P too. I must say grinding and upgrade your CP is a lot of work. But my friend able to upgrade his CP to 18K without spending a cent for the game. Guess he really work his ass. On the other side P2W player reach 22K CP without even break a sweat. IMHO, either we're F2P or P2W we can just enjoy the game as best as we could. When we bored or tired, we can just say goodbye.

You will never win against whalers because they always have the advantage when it comes to currencies like gold, RC, silvers etc etc.. they were also advanced on upgrading materials especially from battlepass. Everything in this game is totally P2W, Changed my mind :) I regretted playing this and wasting time in this game. This game also isn't good for busy people who has job because this game is too time consuming and has lots of limited-timed events, so if you're on your work shift during an event and you misses lots of time-limited events.. then goodluck improving your character rating cus you will miss lots of materials/upgrades etc etc. Which is a total unfair compared to those jobless players who spend all their time playing. Edit: This game also has unfair gunfights! the PVP events here are totally big deal for everyone yet it is allowed to fight Mobile players by PC players (Mobile vs PC) in every PVP events! These devs supports imbalance and unfairness, no matter how high your rating are, you will always lose a gunfights in PVP events against PC users.

Just what ive thought for the first time playing it. Also i dont trust these developer when it comes to anti cheat system. Although they have different team but if you play PUGB from it was release untill the day they most of the players.. you know it. Base from my experience on every concept of RPG game and survival game has their similarities. When i look the gears my first thought was it was awful to lvl up these as f2p base from what you get from daily reward no vaoucher so you need to do heavy grind if you dont want to get behind by those p2w(i know you couldnt make it by juat grinding) Second, was their environment. Bro im not gonna lie but their interface and texture was the same as Free Fire, and interms of combat was just a PUBG. But the most disappointed i ever notice is the map and their pve concept which is the more important of all out of this kind of genre. The map is not that much huge and also if youre type of person who have vision of all of those graphics in detail this game was a big NO NO. It has lack of vegetation, lack of props, no post processing. Their map is not just charistmatic than Lifeafter outstanding emersive diversity especially to those girls who love taking picture how the land escape stands out. In undawn you can see how fast the weather cycle rotate even clouds you see how fast it goes. They suppose put an effort to that because thats one thing that cathes attention of the players that would effect pve concept to the game. Their pvp was good ive nothing to say about it but yeah you have to pay. You cannnot compete p2w players by just f2p'ing this game because base from polishing your item your far way behind from p2w that armor peirce that p2w got from polishing is seriouse thing not to mention the max health and armor and other crit resistant. Raising armor peircing to this game can 2 tap player and 1 tap bosses how much more if you add critchance youre nothing but complaining what you complain and how you mock on Lifeafter. Undawn game pay to win, not good for player free to play, and dont even try enter to room pvp, because is there is crazy sultan equipment , and undawn game nice to explore, but i dislike teleport like anothe games rpg, we have a vehicle and gas for explore, and light a bonfire for the night, if away from home, but my guess is wrong 🥱🙂
