TheRcSaylors I have this one. I can attest to its level of fun and excitement. The ONLY thing I don’t care for is the steering servo is twitchy at best and rarely returns to 0. Even with DR turned down it’ll end up on its back more often than not during wide open throttle. Still though, I’m looking at replacing that with an EMAX ES3054 17g Metal Gear Digital Servo. The standard servo is a 13g.

That looks like a lot of fun! It's also small enough that you can keep it in your car and when you have a few spare moments, pull it out and bounce it around at lunch & such.

I got this truggy a couple a weeks ago for only 65 euros. So keep an eye out for those sales! It also comes as a truck, only the body is different. And yes, it is has brushless motor, they just use the pictures from the brushed version. This is my first RC car so I can't compare it to anything else. But I can tell you that this thing is a lot of fun. It is really fast, fun to ride, and hard to break. I've smashed it into a wall at full speed a couple of times, no damage at all.

Nice truggy, but the link pictures show a brushed motor, even though it states brushless. From the speed I would say it's brushed 390 motor.

OMG!!! THIS THING ROCKS! SUPER FAST! Some other KZfaqr known for breaking big expensive trucks couldnt break this one taking it off 10 ft tall skateboard ramps 20 ft in the air! U wont be disappointed for buying this. Wow its cool, got mine for $72

I got the HBX version of this a couple of days ago for $62... Aliexpress sale. Haha. I added a set of oil filled shocks and 2 LiPos. It wasn't that cheap to me because I have to get it in my country through couriers that aren't cheap. So, it adds to the total. But I can't wait to receive it.

Wondering what charger you would recommend? I have a Timber X and I run both 3s and 4s batteries. I also will be getting a Kraton 8s. I just ordered some of the new smart batteries.

When you see New Brite asking $60/$80 Cheaper toy cars, You should expect anything more like that to be halfway decent but really, looking at what is out there can eat up your pocket really quick. I still have both my Dromida Truggys. I guess I am not hard enough on them. Now they are antiques huh? That seems to be a decent vehicle and would draw plenty of attention to the neighbor kids. Abby can really work those ground based RC units! I would like to see her work on her confidence as far as Planes. She just needs more time at the air field. My friend just expressed his desire to learn to Fly an RC plane so I am pulling my DX6i and simulator off the market for him to use.

You are 100% correct. They do show an image of a brushed motor. Looks like they are just using the wrong image, as this is definitely Brushless. If you search for the brushed version of this truck, it appears to be about $20 cheaper 😉 Hope this helps!! 👍⚓😎

I have the old brushed version of this one, looks exactly the same, same body etc, we have it as the dog chase toy and the dogs love it , when we pick it from the shelf, she goes like "oh hecc, me gonna chase diss toi to de end of teh worldz!" and then when she´s tired she leaves it, and goes to rest or sleep :) will probably buy this one in the future and see if she loves this version as well :)

I think drone sized 2s batteries, around or slightly under 1500 mAh, should fit nicely. I would still recommend taking measurements before buying, just to be safe. But my first thought looking at the battery was "that's a drone sized battery."

yes it is exactly the same except for a variation in body design, and tyre tread. Specs are otherwise the same. there could actually be a minut variation in the dimensions- wheelbase width etc, but not more than 1cm

I'm looking to get back in the rc hobby after 20 years. I found one I like, but it's has a 380 brushed in it. If i do get it what motor would you recommend. It's 78 buck on Amazon and free next day delivery

I have the FY03 1/12 scale desert buggy and it has a cheap 2838 3500KV brushless motor that's been great. It can run on 2 or 3s lipos. Plus they have a 3.175mm (standard 1/8") output shaft, so regular pinions will fit. You can get them for around $30 for the motor and ESC on-line. I've used this same motor in my 2WD Traxxas Stampede and my 4WD Redcat Blackout and it has plenty of power, but gets a bit hot in the Redcat on 3s.

1/16 scale vehicles like this are Very common, so MOST of the parts on this can be replaced with other brands parts. Weve done this sort of thing often over the past years with "off brand" RCs 👍⚓😎

Hayden Murray I have the HBX 16889, which is basically the same thing. It is a fun little rc but the Wltoys 144001 is brushed and faster, but more expensive.
