But is refreshing, since there are no posses, the guest fells more like a person who’s job just happens to be entertainer.. Tig is impressed then for the accomplishments, not their fame. I like this, specially in a world where people appears to be measured by the amount of followers, not their talent or persona.

I wonder if the actor is more conscious of opportunities to prove “see, I’m not Monk. Monk is a character I, actor Tony Shalloub, play”. True story: the US coast guard got multiple calls to rescue the crew of the SS Minow during the run of Gilligan’s Island. And fans of Downton Abbey who tour the actual estate where it was filmed complain _regularly_ that the estate owners and staff are “changing history” when disappointed to see that things in the show are different from the genuine article.

He is not underrated in any way and is very comfortable with his level of success. He has the accolades to prove how successful of an actor he is. In fact, as a character actor he has stated he prefers supporting roles to lead ones. He's a big deal, not just in a Brad Pitt kind of way

He did one season of a sadly cancelled show called "Stark Raving Mad" - he played an oddball, kind of crazy writer (last name of Stark) who would never get his books done on time. So the publisher sent a new straight-laced junior editor to basically babysit him. The editor was Neil Patrick Harris. It was a fabulous show. I never understood why it didn't make it.

This is the third episode where I didn't recognize the person. My rock is not as big as Tig's but under it is where I live as well.

He's still so loveable, this warms my heart. I remember watching Monk as a kid and his performance was amazing. He made me want to cry at certain points. Truly a treasure, you Americans are so lucky you should cherish this guy while he's still alive. I hope to see him in more projects.

He’s my favorite actor, when I’m sad or bored I put in Monk and I’m assured to laugh while still enjoy a good investigation show. For some reason I couldn’t imagine him in anything else until I watch the marvelous Mrs Maisel and he was fantastic in his role and made me forget Mr Monk’s phobias.
