Hii.. i was wondering, what will happened when you burn a gel wax candle? Does the ornament and other things inside get burned? Thanks!

no, you want to make sure they are not placed close to the wick. once the gel wax burns the ornaments will remain. Also never add ornaments that can catch on fire

Do you melt that pot on the stove ?? And for how long ? And what temp? Plz

the gel wax I melted directly on the stove, it's the only way to go. I heated it up to 225 and added the FO at 180, poured as soon as possible. for the soy wax, I would change how I did it. after lots of testing I've learned it's best to heat to 200 and add FO at 180 regardless of the FO flashpoint then pour at 160

Hi, I’m looking to start a candle business soon and One of my ideas I was looking to make a gel/ soy wax candle but most of the candle will be gel and my ornaments that I’m wanting to put inside my candle are going to be made of soy wax do you think it will burn okay with the two being mixed in a way?

I had no problem burning this one, but definitely test test test before you start selling a new formula

So I poured my gel wax but you actually did not say how much soy you added and how much FO to the darker blue and light blue. Could you tell me that please?

I did 70% gel wax and 30% soy wax. Fill your container with water up to where you want the wax to be and multiply it by .9, that is how much total wax is needed. I used FO at 10%

@@SudsBees thank you! I wish mine would've come out as nice as yours. I don't think I let the blue cool down cause it bled into the gel. Oh well there's always a 2nd try.

I want to learn how to make gel wax but im looking online and everything will cost me over $200 just to get started. I'd like to make a small candle making business but I wouldn't know how to price them. I'm not sure if its worth the investment. Can you give me any advice?

Yes the initial investment can be daunting but just keep in mind you will make that money back. I personally don't sell as I'm more of a creator and hate selling.
