can I just say bravo to the Disney team for getting Ariel's hair to move? and that's not a wig. Their genius amazes me every time!

I am so glad people post these videos on here! They allow those who are missing the parks (as I am right now) to virtually visit them and go on these rides!

This ride made me cry when I got on with my son because it brought back so many memories.

They really dropped the ball by skipping the whole Vanessa/Wedding scene.

As a millenial who grew up with Ariel being my favorite princess and someone who hasn't been on that rode, thank you for posting this. I cried lol.

That Ursula scene gave me chills

I was on this ride today and the clamshells stopped for a few minutes and my shell was in front of Ursula. I think her song looked like 3-5 times. Lol

LOL this ride makes Ursula look like a hero. 1.) Ariel wants to have legs. 2.) Ursula grants her the legs. 3.) Ariel meets Eric and they marry, then slay Ursula for the fun of it. But they couldn't put the whole movie into a five-minute ride.

How anybody could put a 'thumbs down' on this attraction is beyond me. This was the PERFECT Disney ride. Maybe even the best one at DisneyWorld.

i love the under the sea part

Wow!!! This looks amazing! The characters look so real and it captured all the greatest scenes from the movie!

Love this ride! First time I was on it, ride broke down right in front of Ursula, I wasn't scared, but I was definitely shocked that the sea witch captured us right in front of her! Little me loved it.

Up on the shore, they work all day; Out in the sun, they slave away; While we devoting Full time to floating Under the sea. Down here all the fish is happy, As off through the waves they roll. Oh no! Under the sea. Under the sea. Nobody beat us, Fry us, and eat us in fricassee. We what the land folks loves to cook; Under the sea, we off the hook! We got no troubles; Life is the bubbles! Under the sea.

Um, how about the fact that it's set in an AWESOME looking new section of the park, with really cool interactive elements in the queue, that really add to the entire "package" of the ride? Or are you just complaining to complain about a new ride at WDW?

My first ride I went on for the first trip going to Disneyworld for the first time (basically going to Florida for the first time). I been planning to enjoy this with my mom ever since we got the news we were going here. Ursula is so cool when you see her in real life. When Ariel dances it's so cute and the under the sea part is so ADORABLE. We got stuck about 2 times when we got on the ride. The first part was the beginning, and the second is when Ariel was sitting I believe which was kinda creepy. Back to the Ursula part, that is honestly my favorite part. Been waiting to sing with her and see her personally. It turned really cold but it was cool. Okay sorry this is so out of order but the beginning is honestly so beautiful. The water effects is so gorgeous and all of that. Now switching to the end, it is so cute. So when Ariel was kissing Eric it was adorable and made it seem so real. The part where ariel's voice made a heart around her and Eric reminded me so much of the movie and that made me so happy. Thanks for reading! (:

haha we were just there a month ago on 12/15/14 and got stuck for a few minutes in front of Ursula. they did a really good job with her animatronic. It looks incredibly realistic. didn't know this was open in 2012--I was there in March 2013 but I don't think we had time go on it or we didn't know about it.

I don't understand the complaints either. This ride looked exactly the same, minus the facade and queue, as the California Adventure version. I'm glad that people on the East Coast will get to enjoy this ride.

The Ariel animatronic is surprisingly lifelike all things considered.

This is my faaaaaaaaaavorite ride in the entire park! Even though it's exactly the same as DCA, I still love it! Glad Ariel's hairdo changed in the Under the Sea sequence. ^^

I love the uploader's responses to comments of this video. I don't know if it Rob posting or somebody else but awesome. I planning on going next summer and I am super excited. I am really hoping this expansion will help disperse some of the crowds in the park. Especially around Fantasyland.

. I can't put my finger on it, but there's just something creepy about the arial animatronics. not even all of them, I love the one in the boat with Eric and the one at the end. And Ursula, god she's amazing. I just wish her demise was played out a bit. It's a good attraction though. Florida has needed a new dark ride for a while. Wish we still had snow white though -grumble grumble-

It's not the exact same system as Nemo. The cars are completely different! Just look at the loading process of Nemo versus Mermaid.

In January I wen't to the roller coaster and it broke down for a few minutes. Until I watched This I didn't know that.

The only issue issue I have with this ride is the line it's so dark I mean the sun then going into a dark room it messed my eyes up

i remember seeing the commercials when it first opened on disney channel when i was younger. i thought you really were underwater and was frightened for those who had to hold their breathe for that long!

Bah. I hate the huge gaps of storytelling in this ride. Especially towards the end. Ursulas death was a major event that needed to be given more attention.

I think since this hasn't officially opened yet, it's not 100% complete. But considering opening day is December 6, this is a great start.
