You can also use castrol trans max Z for the ZF

Speed holes are always a great idea! It's a shame those lines were in the way, was there nowhere else you could have fit it to add a fan on top? It is a really tidy install where it is though. Great job

The stone guard and air scoop should be plenty when done :)

You have to protect this. Install a fan if you can.

Awesome video mate... thanks for sharing. I've pretty much bought myself the same kit but from separate bits of eBay, hopefully they do the job. How do you find the fluid that you used mate? I'm tossing up between getting the same Penrite stuff or the Lifeguard6... it's just so expensive.

I topped it up with bmv and has been fine. I'm still yet to get it serviced and flushed properly

Have you been able to check your transmission cooler temps with this method? Do you plan on installing a fan in the future?

Yes, I see between 40c and 90c No plan of a fan yet but an air shroud I will fit to direct air through and act as a stone guard

Hey mate, Joyi from the MPSA group :) neat work here! Question, given air takes the path of least resistance, how efficient is it to mount the trans cooler like that? I can see flow straight across the front face, and some limited flow across the back against the floor, but not much, if anything at all will go through the actual cooler?

its only gona start to get hot in stop start traffic for like 15 mins + on warm day for it to get bit hot or if hes hot lapping it. Transfan or air duct would be the go to assist though.

Hey mate. I answered this question in the video, I will be making a stone guard/ air scoop to direct air into and through the cooler :)
