I see nothing wrong with a father taking revenge for someone hurting his child, of course as long as he knows who did it. I dont blame him for his actions
@6666Imperator
@6666Imperator 2 жыл бұрын
I do. There is a good reason why we abandoned self-justice in modern society and established legal systems to take care of that. Guess what the person you take revenge on also has a family. Kids, siblings, parents whatever. What happens next? Some might accept that self-justice and leave it be. Many others will take revenge as well. Then we are entering the realm of blood feuds etc. Now do I understand his action? Of course! But doesn't make it less wrong.
@MerkavaV
@MerkavaV 2 жыл бұрын
@@6666Imperator I understand that modern problems require modern solutions and that in today's society, we have legal systems in place. But what happens when that legal system fails us time and time again? If someone decides to commit murder, he forfeits all right to life. He decided that someone else didn't have a right to live and took their life away from them (and their family/friends). Said murderer has family and kids? Ok? Maybe he should have thought about that BEFORE committing murder. If someone thinks that they can tear a family in half he does not deserve one himself. Justice is different from revenge, yes. Revenge is driven by emotion and the desire to "feel" better about your grief. Justice however runs along these lines: "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, life for a life." You steal something? Money is used as compensation - Justice. You hurt someone? You cover their medical expenses and possible lost wages - Justice. You take a life? You forfeit your own - Justice. With that said, I nor you can dictate if a man's action as a result of loss and grief is wrong, especially when the legal system fails. Blood feuds? Those "usually" only exist between gangs and crime syndicates now. Usually... to summarize? I will not and cannot tell a father that he is wrong for taking the law into his own hands because his daughter was murdered and he found, without a doubt, the murderer. But that's just my philosophy. The world is a cruel and dark place afterall. 🤷‍♂️

Its something he should feel no shame for in the slightest, there isn't anything wrong or shameful about taking the law into your hands. The law is a mess and tonnes of people get away with abusing it. I mean hell look at epstine his existence is proof. When he was in prison he orginised leave days where police would ride him out, take him to his house and he'd have them guard hia front door and play bouncer... While I understand your point, it brings to mind my issue with this show and the concept of it. Guy goes under cover to see what is up, they usually go with some sort of story where they follow one particular employee, talk about how hard their life is, and the boss "rewards" them. Usually with some money or a promotion, what ever. Problem is, if you follow most those employees, they all have varying degrees of pain and hardship. A whole lot of them work hard and do a good job. So this one guy gets a nice surprise, but life goes on, and all these other employees keep on working without any recognition. Is it nice to see this sure, but it is also an indication of a larger problem, there are far more good employees than 1 per store, and they deserve to be taken care of too.

Saying you understand his reaction and you dont blame him are 2 vastly different things. He shouldnt have done what he did. Thats a fact. You cant take the law into your own hand or else you accept vigilantism AKA you think Ahmad Aubrey was a justified shooting. Thats just one of several issues with self help. Since you seem to be quite emotional and make emotional decisions, let me name you a similar incident. In the 2000's, there was a plane crash in Europe. The instant blame went on the ATC guy who was operating the plane. A father of one of the victims decided to take matters in his own hand. He found the ATC in his house, waited there until he stepped out and stabbed him until he died and fled. In later investigations, it turns out the ATC was resolved of any wrongdoing as the findings stated that he did not have the correct tools to operate the plane that night. Do you really still not blame the by defintion, murderer? Now, can you understand the reaction? Yes but you cant justify their crime. My story and this story is basically the same story but the only difference is that the guy in question in the videos story's guilt is unknown while my plane story proved the murdered persons innocence

@@prowlervanwijk5537 are you guys dumb? when he says basically the same story its about the underlying concept of the stories. crime is committed nobody is held accountable( at least at first) revenge is taken through committing another crime. obviously a plane crash isnt the same as what happened to the employee but that is obviously not the point. the point is the presumption of innocence exists for a reason. do we think his actions are justified because one man who is incredibly biased says the guy is guilty and deserves punishment. why do people always assume the justice system is failing by hearing one side of the story.

Losing a child irrevocably changes a parent. The actions taken by this boss to acknowledge the death of his employees child, his ongoing grief and struggles and also this fathers mindset to remain focused on rebuilding his life, are amazing. After child loss, anything that allows our child to be remembered (the donation in his daughters name), is so appreciated. Some are saying the boss should have done more for his employee. Sir I completely understand your pain, my daughter wasn’t murdered but I’m 26 and I lost my daughter who was 10 months old 2 years ago. I’d do anything to have her back and get one last smile laugh or picture with her. Sometimes I’ll just hold my pillow at night in hopes maybe when I close my eyes and open them it’ll be her in my arms.

This man is amazing. I hope he lives a full life with the rest of his kids. He deserves the best, suffering through the worst pain a person can go through. If I told my last job at jiffy lube that my daughter was just murdered, they would say " you're still coming in tomorrow right "?

I would telling the boss, no I will not at work tomorrow because I can not or will not work for any company so insensitive for others problems, and that I will be contacting the media about this!!

I know this is supposed to be to sad but I'm just really amazed and impressed how he keeps everything under control at his workplace despite having something that will easily make you depressed and feel like giving up. So glad the boss cheered him up. I'm single, don't have a wife or kids, and somehow I feel bad for him. Idk maybe because I like kids too and want my own someday. Hope that guy is doing good or better.

I feel so bad for him. I completely understand what he did because sometimes that's the only way to get justice because of our deeply flawed legal system

I think the boss could and should have done so much more for this man. Yes he helped but I think he really missed the opportunity to go the extra mile for this dad

This brought me to tears. Hearing this man's story and then what his boss did for him. This world needs to wake up. We need to help people like this Father. We need to stop senseless violence and racism. We need to end hunger and homelessness.
