What do you think the reason Corey is not playing the exact Sunny? I'm surprised if he didn't know the song, he should know Sunny but it looks like Matteo is trying to teach it to him. I haven't carefully checked this but if you are right it seems like Corey realized it was similar to "I just want you to Stay" so he just played that. Maybe he had all those eyes and didn't want to risk screwing up. Another theory is he decided to play "I just want you to Stay" to see what Matteo would do, knowing he's an improviser and would be able to adapt easily to the variation ( maybe a combination of both theories)
When two philanthropic masters have a spontaneous jam sessions. A gift for all of us.

But until he can show he can compose a decent song, he's banking on skill. This means only dudes will like him and go see him play at small clubs, His world would be drastically different if he could write a song people can sing the solo too. Just like EVH.. Then the sky is the limit. Not this fusion nonsense. That is masturbatory. Who is their audience? The three of them? No wonder they can't write. And i can't stand the music but John Mayer is a perfect example of someone who uses a melodic line as a motif. For instrumental music, motifs are necessary. But EVH did it all, and SO did Randy Rhoads. He was a classical guitarist himself for years And a lot of what Mancuso is doing by fusing classical and rock.

They don't care who likes it. So vain of you to think they're writing it for your enjoyment. This is for them. They like it. They feel it. They are a vessel for this music. As a musician, you write songs for you, and if people enjoy it and CARE to listen, great. But if what the musician hears and feels in their head garners an audience, great. But it's a personal journey, not for anyone else

@@stevenbahr9547 If you are expressing yourself for free, than that's up to the artist. But bro if you are selling your art, it's a service. It may be therapuetic for you so it's mutually beneficial. It IS for them. It's called a gift. And this has nothing to do with Mancuso. He'll get it when he writes a song that people will remember. You on the other hand, probably play by yourself for yourself like someone masturbating. And that's what you guys like. Wankery, "Shred",.. etc. My friend, Mancuso is NO different than shredders in the 80's other than he fantastically plays it finger style. But guess what? it's derivative. Write a song that can connect to the human condition whether it's you own or someone else. Because THAT is how you gain an audience. By a song. Not a million fusion or jazz notes at an insane speed. To me? That's just skill. And that's only half of the job. And dude needs to hang his hoodie up. My God. So weird.

Hey man if you’re into fusion or just metal that lacks a hook, a story, a melody, taking someone to another place with your creativity. You can’t do that if you’re playing a million notes a minute. We’ve been here before. Every 80s guitarist had to play like Eddie Van Halen. And many of them were just as skilled as Mateo.
