This is one of the most unique places we've ever visited! When we heard there was an underground theme park built 400 feet underground, inside an abandoned salt mine, we knew we had to see it for ourselves!
This is one of those places that you don't get to see everyday, and since we were in Romania, we decided to go and check it out. And we had a blast! it felt good to be amazed and feeling like kids for one day :)
If you have any questions, please let us know! We are always happy to answer anything to help you plan your perfect adventure ❤️
See you next time! Thanks for being here. We really don't take your time for granted.
XO,
Aimara & Gordon

Congratulations on your year (+2 months) travelling! I have no idea about how KZfaq and algorithms work but thought I would just offer my opinion on what I enjoy as a "from day 1 watcher"! Most Enjoy - local food & drinks plus prices - Interactions with locals - off the tourist trail destinations but in tourist areas - nightlife shots - "living like a local" I loved your turkey series the most (probably biased from my love of turkey) because there was alot of interaction with locals, lots of different food and a variety of coverage such as daytime activities and nightlif. But.. Your Macedonia series is somewhere I had no idea what it was like and you've made me with to go there! Least enjoy Long coverage of tourist destinations and sightseeing. (I love seeing different places to visit and knowing the history but not for too long a period. I like quick facts more i think). I hope this is abit of a help!? 😊
@waysoftheworld_

Hi Hannah, of course this is so helpful! Thanks so much for taking the time to send feedback, seriously!! We agree on so many things hahaha Interacting with locals is for sure our favorite and something we do everywhere, but our cameras are not always welcome and we really try to respect when people simply don't want to be on camera. This was so easy in Turkey because no one cared about the camera, but in Romania we got yelled at quite a few times for having the camera out 🙈 Food of course is something we love and we try to share prices as well. Funny that you mention nightlife in Turkey... I can already picture which video you're talking about 😂 And history is so tricky. We care about it but honestly is kind of boring to show on video hahaha we are still trying to manage how to share info here and there but quickly as you said :) Anyways, I think a lot of people think like you when it comes to videos (ourselves included). We are learning and hoping to get better over time of course and finding the right balance and how to translate our personal values into our videos as well. Right now we feel very happy about how well received our Romania travel series has been 🇷🇴❤️ Thanks so much for being here and for supporting our channel! We don't take it for granted! ❤️

The cool part is that if you fall into the water in the salt mine lake, you don't go to the bottom because the salt water keeps you on the surface. And if you want to, you still can't sink because the water lifts you to the surface.

I am happy, I saw a man who admits that he is afraid of heights. like me! Every time I've been to the Turda salt mine...I've been stuck to the walls:))) (your videos are a bit skimpy, a little more detail wouldn't hurt) As a couple you have something special and full of life. Ohhh, and don't forget, it's becoming a tradition for everyone who comes to the salt pan for the first time to lick the walls:)))

Just want to give some advice as I love your videos and I'd hate to see you gone and I have some experience with the YT algorithm. If you only make 3-4 videos in one country and then move to the next, YT will have little info about those videos, and by the time the algorithm figures things out, you will be then moving to another country, and the audience for that previous country will not match with the new audience, so new videos might get bad signals, and the algorithm will then stop pushing your videos. Don't make 3 videos in one country and move on. Every channel I see doing that is failing. So what I'm saying is basically try and make at least 10 videos per each country so that the algorithm has enough time to push those videos to the right audience, and then when you travel to another country, you would have enough data in the algorithm and return followers so the impact will be much less. Also, try and make the videos a bit longer, somewhere around the 20-min mark. Besides the touristic attractions, try to react to different traditional foods, for example, because your main audience will be people from that country. So if I live in Romania, I care less about the monuments or history because I already know all of that. What I'm trying to see is your reaction to my country's favorite foods and drinks, for example. I don't say to cut monuments and history altogether. Don't get me wrong. Just that your main focus should be on reacting to different things, foods, drinks, places, etc. Try and rank them. Taste 7 Romanian foods, for example, and rank them, 7 deserts, etc. Show the places you stay in. What's the wifi like in each place? What are the prices in Romanian supermarkets? etc. You get the point. And last but not least, don't give up. When the channel will pick up, it's like a snowball effect. It won't be linear, like, "This year we made 4k subs. That means next year we'll have just 8k subs." When it picks up, it picks up like crazy. Look at JetLag Warriors. They had very few subs last year when they visited Romania. Now they came back and they had 190k subs, but they made lots of vlogs from Romania. They rented a car and made videos for about 3 months. The Romanian viewers connected with them because they posted so many related videos from here, and when they moved to another country, most of the people stayed with them. Oh, and do also one football game per country. Even if you don't like sports or don't know about football or soccer in general, just visit and film the atmosphere. When Jetlag did that, their views exploded. People want to see what you think about their team, the atmosphere on the stadium, how it compares to the atmosphere of other teams in other countries, etc. Again, look at the Jetlag channel, and you'll get many inspirations from there. Don't forget. When a channel is small, there aren't many return viewers. So your main bulk of viewers will be viewers from that very country you are visiting. So the focus here is not to present something from Romania to someone from the USA, for example. But the question is, what can you show a Romanian about the place you're visiting? And because we already know about our own country, focus more on reacting to the new place your visiting, the people, the traditions, etc. Again, don't give up! Hope I didn't bore you. :)

Ok first of all... you're an angel! Thanks so much for taking the time to send us this advice. WOW! Thank you 🥹❤️ All of this are things we're just starting to realize. Since the beginning of our travels we have focused on slow travel, and we do make a lot of videos about the countries we visit. Right now we are aiming to make from 10-12 videos per country. It's crazy to read this because for us, we have done the opposite of this basically... we've been making videos for our audience... or at least that's what we thought. That's why we shared more about the touristy things, because in our heads, it was always like, what does someone in the US, Canada, UK, AUS (etc) would like to see if they're visiting a country for the first time? This is a balance that we hope to get better at next year (we're done with international travel for 2022, we're back home right now). We do want to see touristy and famous things of course because it's our first time in the country, but we also need to be better at finding the interesting stories, trying and ranking all the foods as you suggested, and little things like that to connect with the people from the country we're visiting. We never thought people from each country would like to watch videos of their own country you know? Like it happened with our Turkey videos, but then it didn't happen in Mexico, so we were like ok, what happened in Turkey won't happen again... and it happened with our Albania videos and now with Romania has been really crazy to see how many people have been supporting our channel. We hope they stick around after we're done sharing Romania videos 🙏🏼❤️ Anyways... thanks so much again! We promise we are hanging in there, working super hard to get better and find more interesting things to share besides for the obvious ones. Right now I (Aimara) have about 22 videos to edit LOL, 6 of them are from Romania... I'm going to be very sad when we're done sharing those videos 💔 Anyways... thanks for being here ❤️

Fun fact, during the Roman times there was a Batavian (Dutch) cavalry stationed there, protecting the Salt transport to the Mures river, from where was loaded and carried to mid Danube and Rome. Then for 3 centuries the Avars also exploited salt there, through the locals and then the Hungarians came. Obviously the communists, exploiting the salt for the people, was the better option, than the invaders, enslaving and exploiting the locals for centuries.
