Follow us in this final chapter of “Slate mines of North Wales “ as We keep exploring this vast slate mines in North Wales abandoned on the late 1900’s documenting some of the machinery left behind by the miners ; and as we continue into a remote corner of the mine we find a round tunnel the product of a test by a bore hole tunnelling machine from Victorian times , the one of its kind !

Apart from the origional channel tunnel attempt from the 1800s, that must be one of the oldest tbm bore holes.

i was dragged up in Oldham so my old home too, so had to do that culvert really
