@@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 are you stupid? branding is extremely common in human trafficking, doesn't always look obvious. it's well documented that sex traffickers will often tattoo their victim with a certain phrase or image as a form of control, humiliation, and branding. it really sounds like you don't know the first thing about human trafficking. it's not uncommon, and happens everywhere.

I'm a little skeptical. While branding is nothing new (hookers getting their pimp's brand, or trafficked people...) rarely do they use professional shops for that. That just puts them on law enforcement's radar. The shop owner will call it in when that tattoo is requested. And most shops do require ID for their records. A lot of shops will also split up couples if the one doing the talking isn't the one getting the tattoo... they go into a private, locked room and verify that they are consenting. 99% of the time it is above board, but no shop owner wants the liability. Even if they're legally in the clear, most business is by word of mouth, and rumors or bad reputation will kill the business overnight.

As awful as the first story is, now that the traffickers think it's a safe reliable place to tattoo their victims, the shop can work with authorities to track down the trafficking ring, as they're likely to return with new victims.

Used to work with a guy with a row of oriental symbols (chinese writing) on the inside of his forearm. I never asked why. One night we wanted to get something to eat after work. First place we came to was a Chinese restaurant. I ordered my meal, the waitress looked at him, he showed her his arm. She wrote something down and walked away. He had literally got his favourite Chinese meal inked on. The whole time we were there, the staff kept coming up one at a time to see his tattoo, and we never had to pay for a drink all night. They say there's a fine line between madness and genius.

Re story 16: There is a good reason for tattoos on children. They're called medical tattoos and they're supposed to be discrete like a freckle. You put the tattoo on one half of a set of twins so that you give medication to the correct child. SSN on a child is not that. That is asking for identity theft.
@spectralumbra1568

I was about to comment the same thing. There was a story on reddit a few years ago about a set of twins and one needed regular injections for a medical condition. Since childcare workers couldn't tell them apart easily, they ended up injecting the wrong twin and the mother had a small tattoo put on the earlobe of the twin that needed the injections so they wouldn't get mixed up again.

When I was a teenager (I'm now 29), my mum was with her bf for a few years, they had just got engaged and were starting to plan the wedding, so she decided to get a tattoo of his name on her wrist. It was a four letter name, tattooed in nice script writing, and small enough to be covered by a watch face if she needed to cover it up for work. About a year later they broke up. I not 100% sure why they broke up, but I think it was something to do with him having an addiction, or cheating, or both... I can't remember exactly. She ended up getting it covered up with some flowers and some nice line work. Unfortunately the flowers don't look too good, and whenever we talk about tattoos she always mentions how she wants to get the cover up covered up because "the flowers aren't the colours I asked for, there's no detail in them at all, I look like I've got two starfish on my wrist, and you can still see the name if you look close enough", she does like the line work tho. My mum has been with her current guy for 7 years now, they seem happy together and he's a great guy, but this tattoo bothers them both, so my mum is planning on saving up to get a much nicer, bigger and better tattoo. She has an amazing tattoo on her back, which she absolutely loves, so mum plans on get something similar, by the same artist, as her new cover up. Because of all the horror stories iv seen and heard about getting your partner's name tattooed on you, and from witnessing my mum making that very mistake, when me and my partner at the time decided to get a couples tattoo, we agreed "anything except names". We had both seen people get partner's names tattooed then it ending badly, so neither of us wanted to risk that, especially as we'd only been together 2 1/2 years at that point. Anyway, we went to the tattoo studio together, got them done at the same time, sat next to eachother holding hands and supporting eachother. it was an amazing experience. We both got a tattoo that had a deep meaning to us, and helped eachother designed their tattoo. We were together for 5 years, it ended amicably, as we had found ourselves in two very different places in life. It was very hard but it was what was best for both of us. Whenever I see my tattoo, it makes me smile as I remember that experience of having my partner help me come up with my tattoo idea, help me design it, and holding my hand while I got the tattoo done, plus all the other amazing experiences, love and good moments we shared, as well as the deeper meaning this tattoo holds for me. And they have said they feel the same way about their tattoo. I truly believe that if I had of gotten my partners name tattooed (instead of the tattoo I got) then I'd be filled with sadness and regret every time I looked at the tattoo, rather than the positive feelings I get now. Although that relationship ended, it was the most healthy, important, meaningful and happy relationship I have been in. Even though we had our our ups and downs, bad days, rare arguments, and both having alot of health issues, we were always there for eachother, we always supported and encouraged eachother, loved and cared for eachother, had great communication, and had a solid friendship underneath everything. We learned from eachother and always worked through any issues we had. Although that relationship ended and we have both moved on, and even tho there were some hardships (especially due to health issues) it was a big part of my life and I will always look fondly on it. Getting a couples tattoo, rather than each others name, worked out very well for us, and even tho we aren't together anymore those tattoos still mean alot to us. In my opinion anyone wanting to get their partners name tattooed should consider all their options first before going for it, because you never know what could happen, but each to their own and its ultimately their choice. Maybe consider getting matching tattoos, similar tattoos, something inspired by you and your partner, or something you design together. There are many options out there that will show the same intentions, love, and dedication to your partner that getting their name tattooed would show. From my own experiences with loved ones getting names tattooed on them I have always been uncomfortable with getting any names tattooed on me (whether that's a partner or family members name), but I understand why someone would want to get that tattooed. It just isn't right for me. Getting a tattoo is a major decision regardless of what your getting done, its going to be permanently on your body for the rest of your life. So please, do your research, consider all your options first, and make the best decision for you :) Thanks for reading my comment, and have a good rest of your day xx

My mom had always wanted a tattoo. She was 83 so when Mother’s Day rolled around, I took her to the shop my daughters went to. She wanted a small vine and flower bracelet around her wrist. The artist was very cool about it, even added color to the three little flowers. Then told us Mom was the oldest customer she’d ever had and only charged her $20.

He doesn’t care, if they choose not to get it, cool, one less piece of sh’t tattoo out there but he makes a mint on the people who go through with it because for obvious reasons, most people won’t do those tattoos.

Okay as bad as the trafficking tattoos are the last one.... cornbread. CORNBREAD? On the plus side, hopefully those girls can get out of that situation and they can just say they really love cornbread. I've got a few tattoos, and while I don't have any crazy stories, there were some weird things going on at a shop I went to for one of them. While I was waiting for the guy to print out the stencil, some dude came in with a painting of an eagle (literal painting, like in a frame and everything) and asked my artist if he was free today. Artist said no, but what are you looking for, maybe I can get you in with someone else. Guy holds up the painting, says "I'd like to get this as a coverup" and then lifts up his shirt to reveal this huge portrait of a lady on his ribcage. Like taking up a good half of that side of his torso. Artist says "Geez, yeah uh that's gonna be a tough one, but I think it's possible. I'm the coverup specialist here so I can probably work on that for you." Then guy is like "Great, can you do it today?" "Uh... no, I have two clients scheduled for today and that's definitely going to be a multi-session piece." And they go back and forth like that for a bit, guy doesn't want to make an appointment for later and walks out to look for another shop. And I'm just sitting there like... Sir, what is the rush? Are you going to have sex with your new girlfriend tomorrow and you don't want her to see your ex wife's portrait on your torso? Oh and then my artist had to take a break half way through to throw up because I guess it was too humid for him that day. Weird shop.

His friends who kept the shop open offered to give me a tattoo of his roses anytime free of charge. I want to but i'm unsure if i can handle it. It would be relatively small and on my shoulder blade. I thought that was the stupidest question ever. I told him NO, guys come & go, why would I put a permanent mark on MY body about someone else? If I was going to memorialize boyfriends, heck, I'd just get the entire zodiac! My other tattoo is on my right upper arm, it's the moon & stars. Represents the moon & stars. With my dad being involved in a lot of tattoo work from the early 90's up until I was twelve, I should really ask him or any of his other friends who still do tattoo work. I've never heard an uncomfortable story aside from when this kid's mom dragged her son into his shop to have him cover up a gang tattoo, but I myself remember when I was about three or four and got to watch my mom get a tattoo done by his friend. Edit: He came home from work so I asked him. He said the most uncomfortable one he had to do in terms of gross or subject matter was a dude coming in with a napkin that had his wife's lipstick imprint on it. He had my dad turn it into a stencil and tattoo it on his asscheek.

I really disagree with you here... I mean.. have you seen "Inglourious Basterds"? In my opinion... they should all have it tattooed on their foreheads so they can be easily identified... Adding to this specific case, them having to pay for it is just a cherry on top!

I got the dark mark to honor my dad, me and him both had a love of Harry Potter and he always said he was Slytherin Unfortunately for me that was right before the summer when the author turned out to be more of a death eater than her characters were I'm considering maybe getting it covered but I really don't want to lose would it used to represent for me before except now I know anybody else who sees it might think it means more than it does about my views

@@tomjohnson4822 that's true. It's the nostalgia of the memories back when I liked the author and my father are both bittersweet. But perhaps it's better to try to hold on to the sweetness rather than letting the bitterness take over besides getting a covered will probably cost even more money and whatever so there's that too

@@tomjohnson4822 lol, that is also very true. And you have points it does mean something to me and a sign from that firstly it's not for I shouldn't let other people's ideas influence what I do with my skin anyway given that whatever they assume about my opinions isn't correct and it's none of their business beside which also it's not like I'm the one who has to look at it. And a skull with a snake is just a cool tattoo anyway

Correction: Swastika is a holy symbol in Hinduism & Buddhism. What OP meant was Hakenkreuz, which was a Naz* symbol. People really need to get their facts right.
@darkdest6664
@darkdest6664 5 ай бұрын
yeah but the name was bastardized and that's just what its known as now. Negro* is most other languages in NOT racist and in fact if you look at a black Crayola Crayon it'll say it on it. That's because Negro is simply the color black in most languages including english but was inherently made racist overtime. The meanings of words and symbols change overtime and where the original swastika was meant for the sun and healing, that is no longer the case to the point a lot of old temples are being defaced to erase the simbol from existence. *(note that my use of the word Negro is not used to defame or to be predatory against any race or persons. I am against hate speech but am pro knowledge. Please educate yourself as you can disarm the power that uneducated language has when stupid people speak without common sense. Thankyou)

Swastika is a hindu and buddist symbol too... so, of course not all of them were socialists

The nazis were not socialists and when most people say "swastikas" they are clearly referring to the nazi symbol.

@@stuffynosepatrol the nazi were socialists, that's literally what "nazi" mean. it's an abbreviation from the german word _nationalsozialist_ , which, surprise surprise, means _national socialist_ . now whether we _think_ they fit the criteria for the definition is a different story. but they did auto labeled themeselves as such as that is a historical fact.
@stuffynosepatrol
@stuffynosepatrol 16 күн бұрын
@@soph5976 "national socialist" was the name, yes, but the "socialist" only referred to a sense of social togetherness between arians rather than the actual definition of a socialist which refers to an economic stance in which the government redistributed wealth to helping the people. The "socialism" of the nazis was not actually socialism because it had nothing to do with the economy or how the money was spent (even though they marketed themselves as such, which was a lie. Big shocker, the nazis lied). The nazi party also labeled themselves as not committing a genocide but we accept that that was a lie and you'd be heart pressed to find anybody saying otherwise.

You do realize that the swastika is just a normal Hindu symbol, right? It's pretty common in India. Edit: the spectrum of free speech most Asian countries are in don't sit where you think it sits. Where we stand usually is free speech ends where another person's right begins

Most people sadly don't care enough to learn the swastika's origins, they're perfectly happy being willfully ignorant and letting it be something they're told by others to hate the very sight of.

I have 2 tattoos. One is a representation of Pisces, my Sun sign. When one of my employers saw it (it's on my left calf), he asked if it was associated with a boyfriend. If I ever get a tattoo dedicated to another person, it would be for my late mom, and perhaps my late sister, also. No men. How dumb.
