In node , the window object is renamed as global. In simpler words, just like in browser there is a window object in which all the global variables reside, in node there is "global" object in which all the global variables reside.

variables declared with "let" or "const" are not added to the "window" object

Window is a big object where all our variables and functions are stored as properties and method which we can have a access when we create it.

Just a small remark here: The sayHello() function works because JavaScript hoists all functions to the top during interpretation/ compilation. Context has nothing to do with that.

flexairz, correct...but they don’t actually get hoisted, that’s just a concept used to visualize it.

NOBODY explained such global context thing in such detail ever! I wish I had completed this whole JS series before jumping to your MERN bootcamp. Reached till React, but couldn't put pieces together like totally blank! & now things are getting clear & would complete the bootcamp more efficiently from the beginning in no time.

Hitesh sir, i finished your full stack mern course and backend using node js, i wanted to learn one more thing, that is automated email system on user signup and a personalized email for forgot and reset password, while i was searching for this i came to know about NODEMAILER, i went to their documentation , but i couldn't get anything there, it would be glad if you will explain about NODEMAILER .

Scope actually refers to variable's existence in the program.

Hey Hitesh asked you more than 4 times about spacing a file and folder and you are able to execute while in windows we are getting error node 02/Basics/01\ Operations but unable to execute in windows once explain

Hey, are you using cmd in vscode or using windows cmd or git bash? If you using anything above mentioned then only do simple thing, write node 02 give tab then write the initial number of file suppose 01 and then give tab and hit enter it will work... Let me know if you still getting error.

@@betecieai what you told I am able to execute the problem lies when I am giving folder name and filename or either one of the names as capital!!! then i was unable to execute my program instead it shows as module not found

So unlike java which executes line by line..how does javascript execute it?it first compiles everything to window and store and then execute the code?

But i found out that if ve declare function in different way like you define function name as var and then use = then create function . It does not store in global variable I guess because when i call it in start it shows error that it is not an function.
