My dad has severe glaucoma with 95% of his left eye damaged and 99% of his right eye damaged. Praying so hard for him to maintain his sight that he has now.

Sadly my mom has it on her side of the family, but her case is not serious at all cause she luckily was diagnosed right when it started so it can easily be treated.

I am 20 and diagnosed with glaucoma. The amount of pain I bear everyday is infinite. I have to go through constant headache and in morning i wake up with severe pain in left side of my head and it last usually for 2 hours to even full day. Typing this with pain in left head is what i can do. I have no other option than bearing all these pains

Don’t worry, you have a big percentage for success on eye drops or surgery my grandmother has had it, and the eye drops but she didn’t want to put them on everyday so she got surgery and her vision is fine, my mom has it and is taking eye drops but she is ok as well. It is also a very common eye disease around the world.

I think the term *Glucoma* is much more complicated than what we hear ,which can occur even under the low intra occular pressure, too.

I was 9 years old when I was diagnosed with bilateral glaucoma in both my eyes and I've been taking eye drops for 18 years. Right now I take brimonidine, latanoprost, dorzolamide-timolol, and pilocarpine to lower my interocular pressures. I have to take eye drops four times a day to control my pressures. However I'm used to having glaucoma so it's no big deal.

I'm 34 and seeing a specialist for it soon. I'm terrified. My optomitrist said my eye pressure is VERY high and I've seen her once since and it was even higher than the first time. My specialist appointment is in 5 days.

As certain types of Glucoma are having a Heriditary nature, In such cases, Children of such parents should be subjected to primary investigations, specifically HVF,OCT CCT fudan photo etc.

It is my understanding that the "vitreous humor" between the lens and retina remains constant throughout life and does not require drainage, but that the "aqueous humor" between the lens and cornea is constantly being produced by the ciliary body and drained through the meshwork and Schimm's canal. All of the explanations I have read about these processes say that increased intraocular pressure caused by problems with drainage of aqueous humor (the substance in the front part of the eye), can result in glaucoma. The only way I can imagine that happening is if excess aqueous humor from in front of the lens is forced past the lens to the rear portion of the eye where the vitreous humor is located. If that is actually the case, I would be grateful if someone who knows the answer would confirm that fact. Can aqueous humor get past the lens into the area between the lens and retina? That's my question.
