➡️ LESSON DESCRIPTION: This lesson’s objectives are to define magnification distortion and to explain how magnification can impact the radiographic image as well as image interpretation. This lesson also identifies the factors controlling magnification and describes the relationship between source-to-image distance (SID), object-to-image distance (OID), and source-to-object (SOD) distance and magnification. This lesson also explains how to calculate magnification factor and why it is important to calculate magnification factor. Lesson Objective: *Define magnification distortion *Explain how magnification can impact the radiographic image *Explain how magnification can impact image interpretation *Identify the factors controlling magnification *Describe the relationship between source-to-image distance (SID) and magnification *Describe the relationship between object-to-image distance (OID) and magnification *Describe the relationship between source-to-object distance (SOD) and magnification *Explain how to calculate magnification factor *Explain why it is important to calculate the magnification factor
